1. As a private event, the Twilight Zone reserves the right to refuse attendance to any the Host so chooses. These decisions are non-negotiable.
  2. These events will have a theme. Attire consistent with the spirit of the theme is preferred.
  3. We refuse admission to those who are under age or intoxicated. If you become intoxicated during the course of the evening, you will be asked to leave.
  4. You do not have to play unless you want to.
  5. No touching of people or things without the owner's express permission.
  6. Absolutely no recording devices.
  7. Please exercise discretion in dress and behaviour when arriving and leaving.
  8. While playing, respect the amount of space required for other scenes, and do not crowd them.
  9. Do not attempt to join any scene in progress unless you are invited to.
  10. The house safe words are "yellow", "red", and "safeword". "Yellow" is an indication that the play is approaching the bottom's limits. "Red" means there is a problem and play needs to cease at least temporarily. Tops will be allowed a reasonable chance to respond to these safe words before a DM intervenes. Use of the word "safeword" means that immediate outside assistance is needed, and the DM will intervene. Either the top or the bottom may call "safeword" if assistance is desired. Gagged bottoms must be provided with an unambiguous safe signal such as an object that can be dropped. Participants may use their own words in addition to the house words.
  11. Penetrative and/or oral sex is permitted inside the venue. Penile penetration of the vagina or anus, and oral contact with the genitals or anus, are permitted. There is a minimal risk that if police arrive you could be charged with participating in an indecent act. Do this at your own risk. Attendees are responsible for proper use and disposal of safer sex materials such as condoms, gloves and other bio-contaminated materials.
  12. Breath play and choking are restricted. Compression or constriction of the neck/throat is prohibited. Total blockage of respiration is also prohibited.
  13. Piercing or cuttings are permitted. Needle play and cuttings are permitted. You are required to use the sharps container provided or one you supply for disposal of all bio-contaminated sharps (needles, scalpels, etc.). Embedded sutures with the needle removed and medical staples may be left in place if there is no bleeding. Whipping, slapping and otherwise causing potential blood-spray over open wounds is not permitted. If you wish to play over these, please cover them with a bandage before continuing.
  14. Hazardous or unsafe activities are prohibited. Activities which, in the opinion of the DM, carry an unreasonable risk of injury (to the individuals involved or the attendees in general) are prohibited. This includes bondage that depends on a bottom's cooperation or balance to avoid the risk of acute injury; obviously "unclean" techniques; impact on cuts or open wounds; or punching directly over the heart or kidneys. Certain other activities, for example surgical body modifications, are not permitted as the dungeon is not properly equipped for these.
  15. Event staff are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
  16. Prostitution, solicitation and negotiation of payment for sexual services are ILLEGAL and will not be tolerated. No drugs or any other kind of illegal activity will be tolerated. Suspected violations shall result in ejection from the event and may result in a Permanent Banning from all future events.
  17. Participants use the equipment at their own risk. Each participant is expected to examine the equipment for safety both before and after a scene. Equipment “Climbing”, “Walking”, or other violent abuse is prohibited.
  18. You must clean the equipment and area using the provided paper towels and disinfectant immediately following your scene.
  19. If you plan to do anything that a DM might consider “out of the ordinary” (such as apparent non-consent); you MUST clear it with a DM first, or expect your scene to be interrupted. If a DM is caught by surprise, they may interrupt your scene. DM’s are volunteers, here for your assistance and to support a fun but safe event.
  20. If your scene is of concern to a DM, they may interrupt your scene to "check in" with any participants. This party operates on a "better safe than sorry" policy. If you cannot tolerate your scene being interrupted by a DM, do not attend this event.

*Thanks to DA for letting us use the DAL waiver, and thanks the various southern Ontario events who's rules I based the Twilight Zone house rules off of.
