Tune: "What A Wonderful World".

Welcome to TOM'S GENEALOGY RESOURCE Web Site. This site is dedicated to those who would like to find out more about their family origin. It is meant as a guide to resources for developing a family tree. Where do I look and what is available?

The first place to look is books on genealogy from your local library. Many large libraries have extensive geneology sections. You may find books from book stores; either locally or on-line, and if you like to travel to do research, then some large church sites; such as the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Once you become accustomed to what is available then it is time move to the next step. There are many online sources for books on genealogy which I will provide links to ,as well as, free geneology search sites, for fee geneology search sites, newsletters, chat rooms, clubs (web rings) and newsgroups.

Just to give you an idea how rewarding genealogy can be, I finally found my great grandfather. After searching for my grandfather's parents to no avail for five years, while doing research for this website, I found my great grandfather, his wife and four children on a handwritten 1870 census report.Wow! What a thrill!
