T.R.R. Club Information

Twin River Riders Motorcycle Club was formed by a group of eight couples who met regularly for rides. The purpose of the club was to get more people involved in safe motorcycling and having fun. The club is chartered with Rider Magazine. The club does not try to have a lot of money-making events during the year, which require work by the members. The main event is our once-a-year poker run. The proceeds are used for club expenses because the membership fee is minimal.

The club does not have a uniform, but many of the members have purchased T-shirts and jackets with the T.R.R. emblem. This purchase is totally up to the individual and not required by the club.

The club tries to have several events each month during the riding season. Most rides are on Saturday or Sunday, but there are some "overnighters". At least one Friday evening during the riding season, we have a "supper run". We ride to various restaurants within a 50-mile radius of Ottawa. Because of the rides, our informal club motto has become "Ride to Eat...Eat to Ride".

We do not care what you ride: Touring bike, sport , custom, old, new, Japanese, German, or American -- as long as you like to tour and have fun. We do encourage helmet use, but that is your decision. We do not make a habit of stopping at bars, but we know every Dairy Queen in the area. Drinking and riding is discouraged.

Our meetings are at 6:30 PM the first Tuesday of each month at Ray's House of Ribs, 217 W. Madison Street, Ottawa, Illinois. If you can come early for supper, please join us. The majority of us meet at 6:00 PM, have our supper, and enjoy a lot of "chit-chat" before the meeting begins. Meetings are normally concluded by 8:00 PM.

Come and check us out. Visitors are always welcome and are under no pressure to join.
