1. Fold a $20 bill in half so that you see the top half of the reverse side.

Reactions to this fast-circulating curiosity have ranged from "Wow, that's eerie!" to "Obviously some people have too much time on their hands."  Amen to both.  If you use your imagination, the images formed by folding a "new" (1998-issue) U.S. $20 bill as instructed do vaguely resemble portions of carefully selected photographs of the terrorist attacks. Sure, the coincidence is a bit eerie, but any deeper significance is strictly in the eye of the beholder. To call the phenomenon a "commemoration" or "remembrance" of the events of September 11, as many variants posted on the Web and circulating by email do, is to imbue it with a meaning that isn't objectively there.
