A Song of the Nineties

I hate what we have all become
Attached and suckled feeding of the television breast
A sentimentality of what the television media feeds us
Tiny images almost as if we were there
Oh yes, I can sympethize with her…I saw her with my eyes
I have no need to read about what the other side is

I hate what we have all become
Attached and suckled feeding of the computer breast
Feeding useless knowledge
Zombified by the iridescent glow of the flickering screen

Our lives consumed by the internet messages before us
Our days filled with chain e-mails and a feeling of knowing people from the cute messages they send
Images of what we see on flickering screens, they don't lie
I have no thought other than what the flickering screen tells me to feel
