What is Yu-Gi-Oh?

Yu-Gi-Oh started off as a comic series(Manga) in Japan created by Kazuki Takahashi in 1996 and was made into a TV series in 2000. It has it's own video games, animation, action figures and a card game, all of which boasted record sales.
The stars of the show Yugi, and his best buds, Joey, Tristan, and Téa. They share a love for the newest and most popular game, Duel Monsters! Duel Monsters is a card-battling game in which players pit different mystical egyptian creatures against one another in magical duels! Dueling with trap cards, magic cards and monsters this is a pretty cool game!
But this game isn't all that new, it has some ancient background. Legend has it five thousand years ago, ancient Egyptian Pharaoahs used to play a magical game very similar to Duel Monsters. This ancient game was a little different, all the same rules were kept in tack but they played with real monsters! They called this The Shadow Game but it got out of control. Fortunately, a brave Pharaoh stepped in and put a stop to this with the help of seven powerful magical totems.
Now, in present times, the game has been revived in the form of playing cards. Meanwhile, Yugi's grandfather gives Yugi an old Egyptian puzzle that no one can solve, but when Yugi finally put the puzzle together he is rewarded with an amazing power and another half, Yami Yugi!
Later, the creator of Duel monsters the card game, Maximillion Pegasus, kidnaps Yugi grandfather with the help of his millenium eye and Yugi is forced to enter a tournament arranged by Pegasus. If Yugi ever wants to see his grandfather again he has to win!
Can Yugi win? And if he does is this the end of his troubles? (What kind of show would that be!) With the help of his friends, his millenium Puzzle, his trust in the heart of the cards Yugi sets out to save his grandfather!
