EXTRA CREDIT POLICY (MR. KING?S CLASSES)

If you are not satisfied with your numerical grade, you are welcome to do extra-credit work. Extra labs, problems, reading notes/outlines, book reports, essays, films, poetry, decorations and art work, and reports are all accepted as long as they pertain to the class you are taking. Material must be written in your own words and references are required for your work to be considered for extra credit. Extra credit will only be counted once all regular classroom work is completed. Extra credit can help you if you are a few points from a higher grade and allows a way to reward motivation, ambition, desire, and hard work. It is not recorded on the computer but is considered before the marking period grade is entered.

For Physics, doing a multi-step math problem will earn you 1/2 extra credit point as long as your work is shown. Most students find that they can rack up substantial extra credit by doing a few problems each week. Excellent choices for extra credit can include doing problems in the book that weren't assigned (odd numbered problems usually have the answers so you can monitor your progress).

Extra credit can never hurt you and can be used as ?insurance? in case their grade drops below one of the following categories.

Points will be tallied throughout the semester according to the following scale:
