You can make buttons by buying small round plastic rings -- I've seen them
in Wal-Mart back with all the craft/sewing stuff) and crocheting over them.
I'm not a good crocheter but I think just doing a single crochet over the
ring, as many as you can crowd on it.  Then cut the yarn and run it through
the "top" to fill in the middle.

The other idea is to buy covered button forms and crochet little pieces of
fabric to cover them.  Sounds like a lot of work for nothing to me.

You could also do some I-cord and tie it into a knot and use the knot for a
button.

Hi all,

I haven't posted in ages, so thought I'd drop in and say Howdy to everyone.
I love hearing about all the great WIP's and FO's, it really gets me
motivated!

Knits that wanna BE------

I have so many projects just sitting here waiting to be started, a bead bag
(can't wait to work on THAT one!)  I've only been knitting since last
February, but have made socks, summer tops, and hats.  Any tips on a beaded
bag would be appreciated!  Also, took my kids to the LYS and let them pick
out their own colours for hats and mittens, figuring if they picked their
own colours, they'd WEAR them.  DD 4yo picks out a pea soup green for hat,
bright bright red for mittens.  Her coat is a burgundy colour, so I sure
won't be able to lose her in a crowd!  DD 11yo picked out the most beautiful
blues for both, so that should be a joy to knit.

Clapping Game------

Back in New Jersey in the late '60's, we also sang a nonsense rhyme:

Eenie meenie, itsa teenie
Ah oo, bumba leenie
Hotsa totsa, ooma lotsa
Out goes Y-O-U.

I think we just pointed to each person on each word.

Knitting around,
