OK, Eileen...my Christmas knitting.  :)

dh... AS Noyo Harbor in moss wool/alpaca
dm... AS Mendicino in bright pink wool
dniece...mittens from handspun wool, lavender heather
dson-il...guernsey of some sort  (??) out of the dark aran wt yarn from
Rosemary Wilkinson
in the Falklands
df's son...vest from ???  blue wool
df's daughter...cardi from Kids*3 in soft white and teal wool

That leaves a couple of Debbie Bliss-inspired animals to make for my
nephews.  They are 6 years old, love stuffed animals and are leaving on a 5
month trip with their parents.  They get to choose the toys to take and they
must fit into their back packs to be carried by them.  I think that a couple
of 7" bears or rabbits or mice would be just right to stick in or maybe tie
to a strap.  Or wait at home.
Then a pair of socks out of Fixation for dd and a pair for my sister for her
bday which follows right after that. So, I've made good progress.

The tube top (Fixation) for dd for her bday was started this morning and the
front and half the back are finished.  Easy going!  I will be sewing it up
tomorrow (I'd better...we're going to celebrate her bday tomorrow night, 2
days early).  ;)

Erica, about blocking a lace scarf...  Blocking wires are really the way to
go - it's just so easy and turns out so well.  Here's a good source:

Valerie, you asked about Smart Cotton... yes, it is by Berrocco.  It really
does hold its shape. Several friends have made skirts and jumpers from it -
no sagging or bagging at all!  The only catch is it's like knitting with
sturdy string; it's not soft.  I'm not bad-mouthing it, just letting you
know how it handles.  It's a super yarn for items that need to hold their
shape.

Jill Vosburg, looking forward to Sunday afternoon at the LYS
Just One More Row... knit something different!

For Erica, who wishes to block a scarf,
Try some thick nylon fishing line, cut it to whatever length you need -
get the kinks out in really hot water, melt the ends to make them
smooth, wet your scarf, thread the line through the long sides, then pin
it out on whatever surface you have, tensioning on the fishing line.  I
always pin my stuff out on a sheet on top of my sunroom carpet.
Love and knitting,
