Storyline

"Hello. For those of you who don't know how the whole Fushigi Yuugi thing began, here's the storyline...."

Fushigi Yuugi is the story of this girl named Miaka who is acidently transported to this world inside this ancient Chinese book called The Universe of the Four Gods. There, she becomes the priestess of the Konan god Suzaku (?), and she and her seven guardians (seshi) have to defend the Konan Empire from their enemies, (whatever they're called) by somehow bringing Suzaku, (whose statue looks like a peacock or a chicken) to Earth (like, make him walk amoung them kind of thing) **breath**. It sortta sounds simple, but it's not.          Miaka's best friend, Yui, also travelled there the first time, but then went back, and when Miaka returned to Japan, Yui was transpoted into the book, and became the priestess of Seiryuu (thanxs to whoever sent me the e-mail) of the kingdom that was trying to take over Konan. Yui is made to believe that everything bad that happened to her was because of Miaka, and needless to say, she sortta held a grudge towards her. 'Kay, it was abit more than that since Yui did try to kill Miaka and all....Not to mention that they are both in love with the same guy (Tamahome), who happens to be in love with Miaka and not Yui.           So now, the two formally best friends are both trying to bring thier respective gods back, and they both are trying to do that the same way, using the same stuff. I can just hear the fightng start, Can't you?           Anyway, that's basicly it. It's a lot more complecated than that, but if I told you, I'd give away the story.
