Hovering above the city, she could see all the little people down there, walking past each other with emotionless faces. While twisting her red hair around her finger a group of men dressed in grey boring suits stood near the bus stop caught her attention. Constantly, they tapped their foot impatiently on the concrete looking at their wrist watches every 5 seconds.

"They're all so..." she whispered under her breath...

Little children clutching to their mother's hand tight as tears formed in their eyes, looking back over their shoulder gazing at the overpriced doll behind the glass. "..Little from...”

Women walking down the street wearing skirts that were too short with 3 inch heels and too much make-up, getting attention from all the people they passed by.

"..Up here...”

This...alien was new to this world. She gazed down with widened emerald eyes at tall shinny buildings that reflected the sun. She looked down on streets that were full of yellow taxi cars and noisy people. Knowing that it would take time to adjust to this... new place, she knew later on she would be glad to call this place home.

A smile formed on her face, and with that she soared down like a hawk toward the new city. Racing down faster and faster as if she had only little time to waste! She reached out her hand, as if she could hold the whole city in her palm. A sudden jerked on her ankle made a complete stop.

"What are you DOING?! You can't just run off like that! What in the world is going through that head of yours?! Hmm, Starfire?" An angry Zu hovered above Starfire. She narrowed her eyes down at the young Tamaranian with crossed arms; she shook her head in shame.

"I had no trouble at all with your sister; she was more in control than you... Ya know, you should really try it sometime, you might spot getting into trouble so much!"

Zu shouldn't be talking, she herself has no patience what so ever, but she denies it with her stubborn self. Poor Starfire looked up at her Aunt like she some displeased queen and Starfire was the poor peasant who's head was about to get chopped off. Zu's frown slowly formed into a smile... and playfully slapped Starfire on the arm and gave out a loud laugh that echoed.

Zu was a heavy middle aged woman who had birthed 4 little baby Tamaranians in the past (and it has definitely shown). She wore a dark blue suit similar to Starfire's, but was worn and old; a few holes were discovered everyday. Her hair, a darker shade of Starfire's hair color, was long with cute little ringlets at the ends.

Starfire looked up at Zu as she was shadowing her, Zu was looking at her features trying to see Blackfire's face... it was in there somewhere, but it wasn't easy to find. Starfire, tired of the silence spoke up.

"Is it OK if we go down there now?" Her eyes widened with hope as Zu scratched her chin and pondered on the thought for a minute or two and as she was about to speak, a loud crash from below interrupted her.

"OK Titans, spread out!!" A boy with black hair jumped back as a powerful blow of energy came out blasting into the concrete inches away from his greens boots.

"Whoa...” Staring down at the deep hole in front of him, he looked back up at the hideous monster that caused it.

Red scaly skin with huge yellow eyes to match. What Robin was starring at was starring right back at him; the creature had a deformed body at least 5 times bigger than Robin or even Cyborg. It had sharp horns that would pop out randomly all over his body piercing his red skin. The terrible monster hunched over Robin and opened his mouth wide open into a perfectly round "O". As the monster was about to inhale, gathering all his energy in his chest, a dark green shaded rhino came out of no where and pushed the monster out of the way before he could blast out any of his dangerous energy, crashing it into a small flower shop.

"Hey, thanks Beast Boy!"

"No problem, dude!," from under the pile of wood and pink flowers, he raised up dusting off the dirt off of his suit and out of his green hair so he could still he on his "cool side". He turned into his human form too quickly. While pushing back his messy green hair he said coolly, "Heh, that wasn't so ba-"

Roaring with vengeance, the creature blasted away heavy wood that laid on top of him, shooting them right into the newspaper stand right across the street where Raven decided rest from this battle.

"Holy shi-! Raven watch out!" BB reached out his hand and ran toward Raven. With her telekinetic powers, Raven absorbed the energy blast into her hand not breaking a sweat.

"You were saying..?" Raven glanced at the blushing pink BB...

"Wow, are you looking at this Starfire? We are getting entertainment here!" A big smile was planted on Zu's round face as she leaned back with two arms behind her head and with crossed legs.

Starfire looked at her relaxing Aunt Zu, and then at battle scene down below. She winced as sharp horns grew longer on the deformed monster. She put hands over her mouth when she gasped at the sight of a metal man come running in with great confidence, attempting to shoot the thing with his equipped gun.

"How is this...?”

The creature shot out its sharp spike from its chest aiming for Cyborg; just barely did he dodge out of the way...

"..Entertainment?"

"Hey, ya know what? I think I’m gonna like this place, mhmmm this planet is WAAY more exciting than Tamaran. ..Yup. ...S-starfire?..Hello?" Zu shot up and looked around. "Hey... where'd ya go!?"

Starfire shot out fire green starblots from her eyes at the hideous monster. She shot in all random places trying desperately to find a weak spot.

"Yo dude, who's the chick?" BB and Robin looked up at the alien.

Robin shrugged, "Beats me... but from the looks of it she's doing a better job than we were."

Giving it everything she had she shot out fire green starblots repeatedly right in between the yellow eyes had the monster crawling on his knees moaning in agony.

"Mustn't... fail...” beads of sweat dripped down Starfire's neck.

Not long, it gave up and collapsed on the ground.

"Heh, I did it... I did..."

She fell... right into his arms...

Starfire shot up from the bed, her vision was still burry. She looked around...

"Where am I?.."

In a room full of darkness, only little light came from a window right beside her bed, even in the city the stars revealed them selves. Her eyes soon adjusted to her surroundings, the room was surprisingly small. On the other side of her bed there was an AID kit on a small table. Where ever she was, it was not a place to be feared...

Starfire crept out of her bed and felt for a door. Finding one, she turned the knob and peaked out. There was a long hallway with orange walls and red carpeting. To her left, it looked like a dead-end. To her right there was an open area with bright lights, couches and sounds of people talking. Taking a few cautious steps toward the open area while hugging the wall, she noticed that one of the voices she heard of familiar...

"You! ..Mr. Boy Wonder! You're the leader of this crazy bunch, correct? You're telling me that that monster I saw this afternoon attacked my niece?! Where the hell were you people?!" Aunt Zu sobbed fake tears in her hand while BB turned up the volume on the TV.

"M'am, I've already told you, your niece is fine. She'll wake up in a couple of hours. What had happened was your niece, Starfire you called her? She saved us all from that monster and she collapsed afterward because she used up all of her energy. There's no real permanent dama-"

"Listen here! All I want is Starfire back so I can get the heck out of here! What kind of place is this?! Monsters running around hurting others while a bunch of kids try to go and save the world! Never heard of such a thing!" Without Zu noticing, BB and Cyborg rolled their eyes.

Starfire was embarrassed at Zu's behavior... how could she talk like that to the people who aided her? She was so ashamed.

Raven was reading a book, she flipped through some pages ahead then shut it closed and stood up.

Out of boredom she announced, "Going to check on our patient...”

Starfire's heart almost jumped out of her chest, she almost thought she heard incorrectly. Hearing footsteps coming near, Starfire edged back into the tiny dark room and crawled into bed. With the little time she had she tired to remember what position she was in when she first woke up. Was her head tilted this way? ..Or the other way? Starfire's time ran out before she could decide. Raven entered the room opening the door only a little so not as much light came into the room. Tip toeing toward the bed she examined her. Noticing different things, like the sheets not be this untidy, her stiff and uncomfortable position, or the way she was breathing too fast.

Not exactly knowing what to do, Starfire laid there trying to be as still as possible.

"Why is she just standing there... does she know? Does she know that I'm really awake? ..Or did she fall asleep?"

She knew that was a silly thing to think but you never know. To make sure, Starfire opened one eye and looked up at Raven but, quickly closed it as she was caught red handed.

"I knew you were awake."

"Yes...” Ashamed of her stupidity Starfire sat up in her bed and hung her head down low. "I over heard my Aunt Zu talking to one of your friends... I apologize for her behavior. She doesn't always act like that... well maybe she does, but you get use to it. And I thank you for your hospitality, you've aided me and I'm eternally grateful." She did a little bow.

"Uhh, it's OK, really."

"Well... now that I'm awake, it's best to go with Aunt Zu no-"

"Wait, what? You can't be serious, are you? That woman doesn't seem easy to be around with. We've just about had it with her visit and she hasn't been here from more than an hour."

"Yes, I know, but she is family."

"..You’re pretty loyal."

"Thank you." She smiled.

There was a long silence. Raven had a question itching inside of her that yearned to be asked... "..Today, out there with that monster... why did you help us?"

A little surprised at the change of the topic. "I'm not sure, just the image of that monster, what ever it was... watching it destroying everything is its sight. I thought it was really nice of you to try and stop it, and I guess I wanted to help."

"Yeah, figured."

The door busted open, Raven and Starfire turned to see Zu standing in the door way with angry eyes.

"Starfire! We are leaving this Earth tomorrow morning!" yelled out Zu, BB in the background turning up the volume on the TV again. Starfire slowly nodded, a little disappointed. "We'll be staying... here, for the night. Ugh... we have no where else to go and we can't go anywhere else because these are the only PEOPLE we know!" Frustrated Zu turned around giving Robin an evil glare and stomped away.

"Well, looks like you're here for the night...Starfire.” Robin said as he stepped in the doorway.
