Ray stood among the crowd of people waiting for the
arriving passengers, shifting nervously from foot to
foot; nearly dancing in his impatience. Benny was
finally arriving back home after five seemingly
endless days. And as if their separation hadn't been
long enough, Benny's flight had been delayed for over
an hour and a half.
But about ten minutes ago the announcement had been
made that the flight had finally landed, and everyone
was staring eagerly at the door to the walkway,
waiting for it to open.
Finally, the door did open, and the first passengers
started streaming through. Ray searched the crowd,
looking for Ben. When Fraser did walk into the
terminal, Ray didn't notice him for a second. He had
been looking for red serge, and Benny was wearing his
brown uniform.
But then Ray caught sight of his lover, and his heart
started pounding. All of a sudden he wondered if it
had been such a good idea for him to pick Benny up at
the airport. Maybe Ben should have taken a cab
instead. All Ray wanted to do right now was run over
to Benny, throw his arms around him and kiss him
senseless.
Ben scanned the faces in the crowd, and when he saw
Ray, his eyes lit up and a huge smile spread over his
face. Ray crossed over to Ben and gave him a hug. A
"one good friend giving another good friend just home
from a trip a friendly greeting" hug. And if the hug
lasted just a moment or two too long, everyone around
them was too busy with their own reunions to really
notice.
"Welcome home, Benny. How was your flight?"
"It was fine, Ray."
"Good. And the seminar?"
"It was quite informative."
"Great." Ray pointed at Ben's backpack. "That's the
only luggage you have, right?"
"Yes."
"Good. Let's get out of here."
"Good idea."
The two men walked very rapidly through the terminal
and out to the parking garage.
The drive back to the house was completed in total
silence; the electricity and tension in the air
palpable.
Ben wanted to move closer to Ray,to rest his hand on
his leg or his shoulder. But he was afraid that once
he touched Ray, he wouldn't be able to stop; and he
very much wanted them to make it home safe and in one
piece.
Ray, for his part, had his hands clenched firmly
around the steering wheel; and he was staring straight
out the window, paying much more attention to his
driving than he usually did.
Finally they made it back to the house, and Ray for
once parked the Riv in the unprotected driveway. As
Ray slid the key into the lock of the front door, Ben
spoke for the first time since they had left the
airport. "Dief?"
"Willie's."
"Excellent."
The door was finally opened- Ray seemed to have
trouble, fumbling with both the lock and the doorknoband
the two men stumbled through it. Once inside, Ray
whirled around and slammed the door closed, then
pressed Benny up against the door and leaned into him
for a kiss.
Ben's backpack fell to the floor with a soft thump,
and Ben wrapped his arms around Ray, grabbing his ass
and pulling him even closer. Ray pressed his entire
body up against Benny's, pinning him to the door, and
Benny uttered a wild, helpless moan.
Somehow working his hands between their bodies, Ray
grasped the lapels of Ben's jacket and pulled it open,
then slid the jacket down Ben's arms and let it fall
to the floor. Ray then went to work on Ben's necktie,
and he was vaguely aware of Ben's hands fumbling with
his clothes.
Ray broke the kiss, breathing heavily. "Bedroom," he
gasped, and the two men all but ran into the bedroom,
tearing off clothes and dropping them behind them as
they went. By the time they made it over to the bed,
Ray was wearing nothing but his boxer shorts.
Benny, however, was still in his pants and boots. He
bent over and began unlacing his right boot while Ray
knelt down in front of him and got to work on the left
one. The boots were quickly unlaced and Benny pulled
them off and tossed them aside.
Ray reached up and pulled down Ben's pants and
underwear with one quick yank, and Benny stepped out
of them and kicked them aside as well. He then pulled
Ray to his feet and removed Ray's boxers in much the
same way that his own pants had been removed by Ray.
Ben tossed all the pillows off the bed with one swipe
of his arm and then pulled back the bedspread. He
started to pull down the sheets and blankets, but Ray
let out a growl and shoved Benny to the bed, then lay
down on top of him.
Ben's lips were taken in another near-brutal kiss, and
he moaned in delight and opened his mouth, letting
Ray's tongue inside to taste and explore thoroughly.
Wrapping his arms around Ray's waist, Benny rolled
them over so that he was lying on top of Ray.
Ben broke the kiss and lay smiling down at Ray, then
he took that beautiful, much-missed face between his
hands and covered it with a series of kisses. He
found his way back to Ray's mouth and eagerly covered
it with his own, while letting his tongue slip inside,
getting re-acquainted with that feature that he loved
so well.
Suddenly the world whirled around him and Ray was on
top of him again, thrusting his hips urgently against
Benny, rubbing their rock-hard cocks together. Ben
cried out and broke the kiss, burying his face into
Ray's shoulder.
He slid his hands down to Ray's ass, grabbing him and
trying to pull him even closer. He continued rubbing
and thrusting against Ray, his moans and gasps and
cries mixing with Ray's and making a beautiful
cacophony of sound.
Far, far too soon Ben felt the familiar tightening in
his groin, and he came, emptying himself against Ray
with a noise that was very much like a scream. A few
seconds later Ray gave a harsh, loud cry of his own,
and Benny felt the warmth of his lover's seed hit his
body.
Ray collapsed limply on top of him, and the two men
lay still for a long time, waiting for the world to
fall into place around them again. Finally Ray rolled
off of Benny to lay next to him. Ben made a small
noise of protest and Ray smiled and pulled Benny into
his arms, resting Ben's head on his shoulder.
The two men lay silently for a few minutes, gently
stroking and caressing each other. Finally, Ray
spoke. "Welcome home, Benny."
Ben laughed softly. "It's good to be home."
Ray smiled and kissed Ben on top of the head. "So
Benny, how was the seminar?"
"It was actually quite good, Ray. I took several
interesting workshops. And it was nice to be among so
many other members of the RCMP."
"Yeah, I bet a bunch of Mounties can really tear up
the town."
"You'd be surprised."
"Really?" Ray arched an eyebrow and pulled back to
look into Ben's face.
Ben smiled. "Many of the attendees did go out
exploring the city at night, but I didn't join them. I
spent my nights in my room, talking to you on the
phone. I'm afraid that my long distance bill was
nearly as high as many of their bar tabs."
Ray laughed. "But it was worth it."
"Oh, absolutely." Ben broke off with a yawn.
"You tired, baby?"
"Mmmmmmm," Ben said, snuggling closer.
"Yeah? Do you have jet lag, Benny?" Ray asked in a
teasing tone of voice.
Ben lifted his head from Ray's shoulder and regarded
him with solemn blue eyes. "I don't believe so, Ray.
I really don't get jet lag."
Ray laughed quietly. As usual, Ben had treated a
joking question of his with total seriousness. God,
he had missed him!
"I think I know what the problem was," Ben said,
resting his head on Ray's body again. "It was the bed
in my hotel room. You know how you used to complain
about my bed in my old apartment?"
"That does ring a bell."
"Well, this bed made that mattress look positively
soft and downy by comparison."
"Really?" Ray grinned, surprised to hear his lover
voice any sort of complaint. "Poor Benny."
"That wasn't the worst of it, though. The bed was
rather large, and it felt very empty. I felt very
much alone, and that made it hard to sleep."
"Yeah, I was having the same problem here."
"Really? Well, it seems to me that there is only one
solution to our mutual problem, Ray."
"Yeah. We don't leave each other again. If one of us
has to go out of town for some reason, the other will
tag along. We'll make it like a little vacation.
Absence may make the heart grow fonder, but it's hell
on the other organs."
Ben laughed, and the two men lapsed into silence. Ray
began running his hand gently up and down Benny's
back.
"If you keep that up Ray, I'm going to fall asleep."
"That's the point, Benny."
"Ah. In that case..." Ben wrapped his arms around
Ray's waist and settled more comfortably against him;
and within ten minutes he was sound asleep.
Ray was tired also, but he didn't feel like sleeping.
He would much rather lie there awake, listening to
Benny's quiet breathing and feeling him in his arms.
So Ray lay there, smiling happily, occasionally
running his fingers lightly up and down Ben's arm or
running a hand through his hair.
About an hour had passed when Ray was pulled from his
reverie by the sound of the doorbell. With a quiet
curse he gently disentangled himself from Ben's
embrace and slipped out of bed. Hastily pulling on
his jeans, he hurried to the front door before the
bell could sound again.
Ray opened the door and saw Willie and Diefenbaker
standing on the porch. He glanced at his watch in
surprise. He hadn't realized that much time had gone
by. "Hey Dief, welcome home. Thanks for taking care
of him, Willie."
"No problem, man."
Diefenbaker walked into the house. About halfway into
the living room he froze, his head snapping up. With
a sudden bust of joyous barking, he headed into the
bedroom at a full run.
"No, Dief," Ray called after him. "You'll wake up..."
he trailed off with a sigh as the wolf disappeared
around the corner.
"Good luck," Willie grinned.
"Yeah, thanks a lot." Ray closed and locked the door
behind Willie, then headed towards the bedroom. He
stood in the bedroom door, watching the scene in
front of him.
Benny was sitting up against the headboard, the
bedspread pulled up to his waist. Dief was standing
over him, a paw on each of Ben's shoulders. He was
licking Ben's face, his tail wagging furiously. Ben
was laughing, and he pushed Dief gently away. "All
right, all right! Yes, I missed you too."
Dief licked his face again, and Ben hugged his wolf,
burying his face against Dief's neck. Ben sat up
again and began scratching Dief behind the ears. "So,
did you behave yourself while I was away?"
Diefenbaker whined, and Ben smiled. "Good. Thank
you. And you took care of Ray as I asked you to,
didn't you?"
A short bark.
"Very good. And it appears that Ray took very good
care of you as well." Dief growled happily and sat
down on Ben's legs, his tail continuing its rapid
beat.
A smiling Ray crossed the room to join his family.

This is a sequel to "Unforgettable", although you
don't need to have read that story for this one to
make sense.
Alliance legally owns these characters, and I make no

And by the way, if the title of the story makes you
groan and roll your eyes, don't worry about it. I had
