Me and my good buddy Jim went to see this movie a little while ago, I went into it with lower expectations than He had, but that’s because I was not a very big fan of the second, and the first, while it did catch me off guard, wasn’t and still is not one of my favorite movies.
We decided to see this because we thought at least it would be something to do, that’s what we do when we don’t have anything else to do, we see movies, its kind of our thing. Anyways, this one did surprise me. It was actually very good.
Funness:
This is one of those times where they could’ve had these actors doing anything, as long as they were playing these characters, and were all in the same movie. So much of this movie is derived from there personal relationships with each other. In fact, the plot line is based on their loyalty to one of their own. This movie was a lot of fun, Its one of those movies that you get the feeling that the people on the set were having fun making this movie, that they honestly and purely just wanted to create something that was clever, funny and most of all entertaining. And in this case, I believe they did just that.
Quality of production:
Just by the sheer volume of big names in this flick, you know it was not a low budget movie, and they certainly did not penny pinch at all when it came to making this entire movie look slick, cool and most of all that style of the other two Ocean’s movies. 13 has all of the cool transitions and loud upbeat music that helped the first two movies keep the pace up and running, and again it works very well.
Bottom Line:
Ocean’s 13 is certainly short of incredible but at the same time very far from a bad choice on movie night, definitely worth a trip to the theater to see it.
