- What and How do they eat?
- in order to swallow they must eat everything underwater
- small animals, fish, and insects especially when young
- veggies and plants are more common when they're older
- How to take care of one?
- Water
- tank with water atleast as deep as the turtle is wide
- water temp 70-75
- need a water filter & must clean the tank frequently
- because turtles drink the water they swim in
- Land
- a basking area with sunlight (or special uv light) out of water
- basking area temp upper 80s
- Health
- Algae (green stuff attached to turtle)
- Put turtle in lukewarm water and remove algae with toothbrush
- Fungus (white stuff attached to turtle)
- from stagnant water or turtle not getting out of water enough
- wash hands with antibacterial soap after every encounter (tank or turtle)
