My dad died from Coronary Artery Disease, also know as Atherosclerosis(ar-te"re-o-skle-RO'sis). This is a condition that results when the coronary arteries are narrowed or occluded, most commonly by atherosclerotic deposits of fibrous and fatty tissue. Coronary artery disease is the most common underlying cause of cardiovascular disability and death. I never really totally understood the disease until I did some research on the causes of this fatal heart disease.
