The October 29, 2007 Hailstorm
During the afternoon of October 29, 2007, violent thunderstorms produced large hail and flooding over parts of the San Joaquin Valley. I intercepted a cell near Laton and observed large hail verifying a warning for my co-workers.
Time line of the chase (all times PDT).
544 PM - A supercell north of Hanford. I have decided to intercept it to take a closer look.
614 PM - Large hail (1 inch dimaeter) was noticed west of Laton.
