The Falls
On July 17 through July 20, 2000, I drove through Yosemite National Park with my parents who came over to visit me. For the benefit of those with flash photography (I am one of them), there are plenty of good views. I took several shots in and around the park.
These are pictures of Oakhurst which is a popular place for Yosemite visitors to stay if they don't feel like camping out in the park. There are plenty of good places to shop and dine here.
These are some pictures taken at Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.
The Fallen Monarch
The Bachelor and Three Graces
The Grizzly Giant
The Tunnel and some views to the east of it.
Bridalveil Fall
Yosemite Falls
El Capitan
Ther Merced River
Porcupine Flat
Tenaya Lake
The domes at Tuolomne Meadows
Tioga Lake
The road to Lee Vining
Mono Lake Crater is a volcano just waiting to go off.
Some views of the Stanislaus National Forest. In the office I have put out several spot forecasts for their prescribed fires.
Now I call that a long journey. It took three days to catch these views.
