FRIDAY THE 13th

JASON VOORHEES- One summer, two camp counsealors decide to adventure off into the woods and have sex (Didn't you idiots watch SCREAM?). While they are doing their task, Jason, a young boy of one of the members of the camp, wanders off into the Lake and drowns. His psychotic mother, year later decides to go on a killing spree to avenge Jason's death. Pamela, the mother, is beheaded while on her path of destruction and somehow it is rumored Jason witnesses this. In the sequel, we learn Jason is very much alive and starts his own killing spree. The man never dies too!

Jason Voorhees made his film debut, as a child, in Friday the 13th. Throughout the early 80s, with Michael Myers staying hidden from the rest of the horror genre, a new slasher became to arise in popular movie cinema. Many thought Jason was nothing more than a Michael Myers rip-off. Many dissagreed with the statement. Though fans of both series agree and dissagree on that topic, it is a proven fact that Jason is extremely popular. Friday the 13th popped out, to date 9 sequels and 10 movies in all. The most in the horror genre with Halloween following close behind. Throughout Halloween stores everywhere, hockey masks were easily made and easily sold. Throughout the nights of Halloween, you could see countless little children (and adults) wearing Jason hockey masks. Jason became a pop culture icon throughout the 80's. At least in horror he did.

During the 90's, for unknown reasons, New Line Cinema, the studio responsible for the creation of Freddy Kruegar, bought the rights to Jason. With the rights bought, New Line quickly cooked up Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. In 2002, JASON X debuted on the big screen and was a major box office flop.

JASON VOORHEES & MICHAEL MYERS: THE POPULAR DEBATE--- The fan base is split right down the middle. Although Friday the 13th did make more money than Halloween (it had 2 more sequels), Halloween had an edge over Friday the 13th. Halloween at the time, until Scream came out, was probably the most realistic horror film. Michael was considered human (up until the events of H3-6) and vulnerable to many attacks, as to where Jason is a zombie and very unrealstic. Many fans bring up the ironic idea of pitting these two movie maniacs against each other. Who would win? While Jason is extremely powerful as a zombie, I feel Michael would win. How?  Michael is still human. If you took the Jason from F13 p1-4, Michael wins, hands down. Why? Michael has taken much more than human Jason. Michael has been burnt, shot by a swat team, shot with many guns, and had an axe thrown against his chest, with no harm done. Jason on the other hand (the human Jason) is very weak. As shown in Friday the 13th part 3, Jason is taken down by an axe.

With zombie Jason against Michael, I still think Michael would win. Michael is so much smarter than Jason. He plans his kills and he plans his fights. Why it is true, Michael was beat by his own sister, Jason was beat by a small young boy. Michael would quickly outsmart Jason in his kills and in combat.

I think if Michael Myers was a zombie, he would be extremely powerful. More than Jason. And would easily easily take out Jason in seconds.

RATINGS OF THE MOVIES

FRIDAY THE 13TH-  A.
The first in the series and very suspenseful. Pamela Voorhees is truly a classical and welcome maniac.
 

FRIDAY THE 13TH II  A-
Jason makes his film debut..in a bag. As stupid as it sounds, the psycho makes some very gruesome kills.

FRIDAY THE 13 III B+
Jason returns from the dead to stalk a brand new batch of teens. The hockey masks makes its debut. The unmasking of Jason is very interesting as well.

FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER  C+
The final chapter? Hmmm not hardly. The popular charcter of Tommy is introduced. Jason gets killed by a little boy....

FRIDAY THE 13TH V: A NEW BEGINNING F---
A very very boring film. Jason is not in this at all and at the end you feel ripped off. Tommy seems to be very annoying with his constant whines of Jason.

FRIDAY THE 13TH VI: JASON LIVES  B+
Jason is back! The Real Jason! This is probably the better sequels with actual plot and story.

FRIDAY THE 13TH VII: THE NEW BLOOD  C-
Jason vs. Carrie. Probably the movie that has the best kills and most dumb charcters.

FRIDAY THE 13TH VIII: JASON TAKES MANHATTAN D
Jason takes Titanic more like it. Jason only spends a total of 15 minutes in Manhatten. The ending is very confusing as well.

JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY F
Um.......Jason body hoping? The ending is the only good part of the film. Mr. Kruegar also makes a cameo at the end....
