A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

FREDDY KRUEGAR- A janitor that was abusive to his wife and child both, is burned alive after killing several neighborhood kids. Parents and members of the neighborhood of ELM STREET, one night decide to hunt Freddy down and kill hiim once and for all. Even the town's police were involved in this. Freddy was eventually found in his house and was burned to death. Years later, Nancy and her friends begin to have very bad dreams about a man that wears a red and green sweater and that is burned. Her dad, one of the citizens that took part in the death of Freddy, ignores his daughter. This launches Freddy into his movie series. Freddy was a lot more popular than Jason and the rest of the horror icons in the 80s. T-shirts, tv series, action figures, plates, and even a video game was a result of how popular Freddy was.

According to the poll the flick BOOGEYMEN done, Freddy Kruegar is considered to be the most popular and scariest horror icon. Even beating Michael Myers. Freddy was, truly scary. Horror director Wes Craven did a fantastic job at giving Freddy birth in the first Nightmare.

After Freddy was killed for good, in the 5th sequel, Wes Craven wrote and directed NEW NIGHTMARE which pit Freddy against Wes himself! Freddy was brought into the real world and faced the real world outside of movies. Freddy since that film, has indeed been dead for good.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY'S REVENGE C-
A sequel that was horrible. Although very entertaining, many felt dissapointed in the lack of plot.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS B
Nancy from the orignial returns to this film to help a hospital filled with tormented kids battle Freddy. Let the one liners begin!

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4: THE DREAM MASTER B-
A sequel that was extremly entertaining. While the story was not exactly award winning, the ending fight scene is very cool.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 5: THE DREAM CHILD F
Freddy's make up in this film is horrible. He looks like something off the Munsters. The movie lacks and is extremely boring.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 6: FREDDY'S DEAD THE FINAL NIGHTMARE F--
Similiar to HALLOWEEN 6, this sixth entry is extremely confusing. The formula is different and the story is so unbelieveably far fetched, its not even cool.

WES CRAVEN'S NEW NIGHTMARE  A-
The man who directed the first, returns for the last as Wes Craven finally kills Freddy. Freddy also returns to his dark roots and is less comical.
