Halloweenmovies.com, the Official Website of the Halloween movies, began to take a poll. The website announced that there would in fact, be another Halloween movie. But that, the producers at Dimension were thinking about having the next film without Michael Myers. So the website eventually took a poll and it was up to the fans to decide. Should the Shape walk again or should the series move on? Weeks went by and the result was clear, fans wanted to see Michael return once again.
Months went by without a word from Dimension or Halloweenmovies.com. Silence. Had the project been canned? What were the-powers-that-be doing?
But suddenly at a 2000 Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, Moustapha Akkad made his appearance. There, he answered questions from the fans of and of coarse answered the ultimate question: Would there be another Halloween film? Akkad made it clear there would be another Halloween and that it was not Michael Myers who was decapitated at the end of H20. That was the last question he answered as he left the place. This immediately brought the increased the Halloween fan base back to high numbers. The internet loaded with websites dedicated to Michael Myers.
Soon as months went by The Official Home of Michael Myers (Halloweenmovies.com) little-by-little released tid bits of information on the new film. It eventually stated that Jamie Lee Curtis would return for a brief cameo at the beginning. By then, fans had already got their hands on the script that was supose to be used. In the script, Laurie is.......KILLED. Finally. She is killed by her brother. But what about the rest of the movie? What would Michael do? It was revealed in the script that The Shape would return to Haddonfield, where he would find a bunch of teens in his house. With the teens broadcasting from the internet, they think Michael Myers is long gone.
Soon they find out that he is not. Michael comes home. The movie also will feature a director who has experience with Michael...Rick Rosential. Rick, was the man responsible for directing Halloween II, which was a welcome sequel to the series.
The new movie also included stars like Busta Rhymes as well as supermodel Tyra Banks.
