Strode. The orignial and first victim of Michael Myers. Laurie, has went
through many name changes. First her last name was MYERS. Then when she
was adopted her name changed to LAURIE STRODE. After the chaos that happened
in Halloween 1 & 2, Laurie went into hiding as Keri Tate.
Laurie was born in the year of 1962. 5 years after
her brother. Laurie was only a year old when Michael killed their older
sister, Judith. With Michael sentenced to the mental hospital, Laurie for
unknown reasons was adopted by the Strodes. Its not known whehter
Laurie and Michael's parents were killed, or what. Nothing was revealed
what happened to Michael's parents. With Laurie now under a new family
roof, it seems that she always kind of knew of Michael. In Halloween 2,
its a mystery. Laurie dreams a series of dreams that show her talking to
her adopted mom. In the dream her mom says "I am not your mother" and then
we flash to Michael Myers' room where he turns and gives Laurie a "go to
hell" look. We do not whether this was just a dream, or if Laurie
did in fact visit her brother in the hospital.
Later in HALLOWEEN II, she is talking to her friend
Jimmy....... "Michael Myers?" asks Laurie "Yeah thats the guy that was
after you" Jimmy says. "That little kid that killed his sister?" "Yeah"
"...but he's in the hospital somewhere." "He escaped last night. Its all
over the radio." "But why me?? why me???"
It seems there that Laurie knows nothing at all that it was in fact her brother that was after her that night. Later during the movie, Michael stabs Dr. Loomis and is within feet of his sister. He almost reaches her when, Laurie stops him with her words..."Michael...." Michael stops and tilts his head. "Michael stop!" **BOOM BOOM** Laurie shots Michael. During that scene it seems as if Laurie has already figured out, this is her brother.
Laurie, after the events of HALLOWEEN II, changed her name and went into hiding. Michael Myers' body was never found from the events of Halloween 2. Its a mystery, too, where Michael's whereabouts were.
Laurie finally bites the dust in Halloween: Ressurection. At this point I have not seen the film as I write this. After July 12, 2002, come back and I will have a deep description of her death.
Jamie Lee
Curtis:
Jamie Lee Curtis is resposible for bringing Laurie
Strode to the big screen and playing her role. In fact, this was Jamie
Lee Curits' very first role. Janet Leigh, the woman that was Norman Bates
first victim in the classic Alfred Hitchcoock film, PSYCO is the mother
of Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee's father, Tony Curtis played in the Marlyn
Monroe movie, SOME LIKE IT HOT.
Jamie, after Halloween, went on to pursue other roles. But within her first few years, all she did was horror. TERROR TRAIN, PROM NIGHT, & THE FOG are some of the horror films Jamie Lee played in. TRUE LIES was probably Curtis' best role. In the movie, she plays Arnold Swzhaneggar's wife. In the movie Jamie proves she can strut her stuff, by doing a strip tease for Mr. Terminator himself. Years went by, as Jamie played various roles. I 1998, she was one of the people responsible for creating the idea of HALLOWEEN H20.
