Dr. Sam Loomis
Age: Around 60 (in HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS)
Height: 5'8
Weight: 180
Hair: bald
Eyes: Blue
Origin: Dr. Sam Loomis. The thorn (No not THAT thorn. We won't go there) that is in Michael Myers' side. It seems everywhere Michael went, Loomis followed. But the man had good reason. Throughout all the films (including the HALLOWEENS 4,5, & 6). Quickly Dr. Loomis was being named " a crazy old man".
While in the other Halloweens Loomis had more comfrontations with Michael, in the H1, H2, H20, and HR timeline, Loomis simply lost track of Michael. At the opening of Halloween H20, it is clear that Dr. Loomis spent the rest of his life recovering from the explosion that occured in Halloween II. Sightings of Michael obviously were spotted around the country. If you pay close attention to the H20 credits at the beginning you can see Loomis' office covered with articles about Michael Myers. He even has a map where Michael has been spotted in Illinois.
Loomis, besides Michael Myers, was the backbone to the series. Pleasence was Loomis. Pleasence, I think sometimes, outacted Jamie Lee Curtis. Loomis was the enemy of Michael. Laurie was the victim. Loomis and Michael had it out a lot of times in the series, but eventually Loomis died with an unfinished quest: To stop Michael. He didn't. Laurie didn't. The Shape still lurks.
DONALD PLEASENCE: Donald Pleasence died shortly after HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS. It was said that Loomis loved doing the movies, but often objected to some of the storylines. Loomis was reported to have not agreed to the story of Halloween 5. He even stated in an interview that he thought a good idea would be to have Jamie Llyod the next killer. While some may agree that this would have been an excellent idea, the filmmakers eventually ressurected Michael Myers. This proved that Pleasence always stayed true to the series. Pleasence even told Akkad one time "I will stop at #22." Pleasence enjoyed playing Dr. Loomis. It would have been a dream if Pleasnce would have went on to recapture his role as Loomis in H20. Pleance's presence in the series is greatly missed and some of the magic Pleasence put on to the Halloween screeen is easily noticed. While during the making of Halloweens 4-6, people thought the movies were bad, you could not say Pleasnce did a good job. Pleasnce, although the films were awful, was an excellent mix in the movies, and sometimes was THE only good thing in the movie.
I dedicate this whole webpage
of mine, to the great Donald Pleasnce. The horror genre, halloween
fans, and world will surely miss your talents Mr. Pleasnce.
