My Daddy ~ My Hero

My Daddy's angel fell from grace
a demon rose up in it's place
Havoc fell upon us all
our castle somehow not so tall
Depression was our main concern
limbs of misery grew like a fern
Slow moves the ticking of a clock
watching your castle crumble to rocks
Years passed by, noone could cope
alone my Mom burned the candle of hope
For surely the angel could find it's way
if the light of a candle burned each day
Then something exciting came to be
my Daddy fought back ferociously
I had no doubt, I knew he would
the only question was, when he would
And just like when I was a little girl
all things bad left in a whirl
And only then did the angel return
and in everything there's a lesson to learn
Of steel , iron, rock or concrete
lives something vulnerable soft and weak
No matter if your castle reaches the sky
what rocks surround you is where strength lies.
