Fading a blog on paint shop pro is simple and can be done several ways. It all depends on the version you have and exactly what you want. We will go step by step with 2 different ways to fade on psp.



Way to fade #1 This way is the way WITH a line around the blog which will turn out slightly different shade of the faded blog itself.

Step #1: The first thing you need to do is get your image ready. After doing so you go over and click on preset shapes on the tool bar. Up towards the top you can choose the shape you want the blog to be. Here i just chose a traditional square. Then you place the shape where you want it by dragging the shape over until you have the exact size you want.Note: make sure that you have the background set at transparent.




Step #2: Once you have the shape drawn you go back over to the tool bar and find the flood fill tool. After taking the background color off transparent set it to the color you want, preferably the same color as your shape and then just fill the inside of your shape with that color.



Step #3: After doing this go up towards the top where the settings are and set the opacity to some where around 50 or whatever shade you want. Afterwards just save and your done!



When it's done it should look something like this


See it's as simple as that!



Way to fade #2 This way is usually the one most people use. It is the way with no broder around the faded blog. this can be done so many waysbut i'm going to show you probably the easiest way to do it.

Step #1: First thing once again is to have to image ready.After doing this open it up and decide where you want to put your blog. Then go over to the tool bar and click on the selection tool make sure it is not set on freehand. Select the spot you want your blog to be and then go over to adjust and then from the drop down choose Hue/Saturation/Lightness.




Step #2: Then after doing that set the lightness to whatever you want your blog to be, I chose 50 for mine.



Step #3: After that you just click ok Note: this will not work if your original image does not still have that area selected! Once your done with that YOU ARE DONE!

When you are done it should look something like this!



As you can see fading a blog looks nice and is not a hard thing to do.
