PRAYERS
to
THE
MOON GODDESS
Full
Moon
"Raised
are the arms
Of the
forest host
In silent
adoration
As Thy
breath wakes
The sleeping
wave to laughter.
The ocean
Thy dark glass,
That Thou
to mankind
May'st
descend -
Thy stream
of silver
Our hearts'
cascade of love.
Stretch
forth Thy dancing spears
Our thoughts
to entrance
With blessed
peace,
That Thy
silent voice be heard
Within
our souls' deep-hidden vales."
Dark
Moon
"Dark
Lady,
As the
ebbing wave doth gift
The treasures
of the deep
To the
seeker on the shore,
Do Thou
in Thy waning
Bestow
the understanding of the wise.
Though
Thy brightness fades,
The dark
vault of Thy Castle
Becomes
e'en richer
In th'enchantment
and mystery
That was
ere Gwydyon saw His birth.
Grant
us but one drop
Of Thy
cauldron's secret draught
That our
inner eyes
Again
may see."
