Taliesin's
Curse
"Born
'fore the flood,
So
mighty and strong.
Without
bone or blood,
With
voice of a throng.
Never
it knows
Any
terror or fears,
No
older it grows
With
passing of years.
It
walks like the boldest
Through
wood and o'er field.
As
old as the oldest,
To
age cannot yield.
As
wide it has been
As
the whole wide earth.
It
has never been seen
And
it never had birth.
At
its will is it found
O'er
sea and on land.
It
may not be bound
But
'twill come at command.
One
moment 'tis here
First
weak and then strong,
Next
moment 'tis there
To
right all the wrong.
And
then with its breath
'twill
bring vengeance and death
To
the enemy horde
Of
Elphin my lord."
(Answer to this riddle
= the wind.)
