Allyson, one of the people I have been in contact with consistently since I began this project, is a college student that was looking forward to attending Aerosmith shows. She was one of the few I talked to who were billed for their tickets, but did not immediately receive them. Here is Allyson’s story…

FANS RULE QUESTIONARE:
What were you told on the phone on the Saturday, April 21 when tickets went on sale?:
Never spoke to a live person. Never even got a recording, just a busy signal... for two days.
How did you find out ticket sales would be postponed until the following Monday, April 23?:
I found out on that Monday thanks to people on Listservs... not through FansRule.
Were you alerted through e-mail about the ticket sales?:
Only after they finally went on sale.
When did you finally get your ticket order placed?:
don't remember exact day...wasn't until last weekend of April, or maybe even in may!
What seats were you given?:
Still haven't gotten tickets.
Were there seats available through AF1 at your chosen venue?:
I got some, but many members in my area did not.
Were you able to purchase tickets according to seniority status?:
I have no idea. I hope my three years counted for something!
When did you recieve the confirmation for your tickets?
I got a postcard in mid June.
Which show did (or will) you attend?:
Raleigh and/or Charlotte NC
Have you recieved your tickets in time for the show?:
No yet... still have a little time.
Did you recieve a promise of tickets then not recieve your tickets and were not billed for them?: Promised tickets, billed for them, confirmation arrived one month later, nothing since.
Did you get billed for your tickets and not recieve them?: No tickets so far, big fat credit card bill.
Did AF1 at anytime make any statements to you that you later found out to be false or contradictory to any other previous statement?
once told only able to buy for one show, later told i could buy for two. told tickets would arrive no later than this week, nothing yet.
Any wrong doings you would like to specificaly point out:
VERY upset for other fans who have gotten bad seats, no seats, or were not allowed to buy for multiple shows.
Anything else you would like to add (a personal story, a comment, or anything you would like said in the article):
I think that it is very commendable that some members were invited to sound checks, given up grades and even backstage passes, BUT this should be practiced evenly across the board, apparently some members at the very same shows were never given any compensation. I am afraid that those of us yet to go to shows might be left out too.
Your Name: Allyson Abernethy
City, State: Newton (and Chapel Hill) North Carolina
Years with AF1: Three and 1/2. (I think- might be 4 1/2)
Reason for being with the fan club: wanting assurance of better seats. being a college student i do not have money to spare, so i'm careful how i spend it. it would be very disheartening if i spent money for memberships all these years only to get nothing in return. i also enjoy the newsletters (Which seem to have stopped) and hoped someday to afford a travel package.
