This was Cindy’s reply to my questionnaire. I was concerned already about the growing AF1 troubles, but my concern turned to anger when I read that Cindy was promised tickets and did not receive them. Here is Cindy’s response:

FANS RULE QUESTIONARE:

on sale?:
I tried for hours to get through on the phone. When I finally got
through and inquired about tix, I was conveniently disconnected. I was
never able to get through again
How did you find out ticket sales would be postponed until the following
Monday, April 23?:
Through email on this list
Were you alerted through e-mail about the ticket sales?: Never received an
email in regard to tix sales at all
When did you finally get your ticket order placed?: N/A
What seats were you given?: N/A
Were there seats available through AF1 at your chosen venue?: NO
Were you able to purchase tickets according to seniority status?: NO
When did you recieve the confirmation for your tickets?: N/A
Which show did (or will) you attend?: Nashville, Memphis ( tix through AI)
Have you recieved your tickets in time for the show?: not sent out yet (AI)
Did you recieve a promise of tickets then not recieve your tickets and were
not billed for them?:
NO
Did you get billed for your tickets and not recieve them?: N/A
Did AF1 at anytime make any statements to you that you later found out to
be false or contradictory to any other previous statement?

AF1 made the promise that seats would be available for all fan club members.
I was not able to acquire any seats for the three venues I was interested in

Any wrong doings you would like to specifficaly point out:

AF1 made promises with your membership that tix would be available for
concerts...I have been a member for years and have always been able to
acquire tix through AF1 at a reasonable cost. This time around they once
again promised tix when renewing membership and also when tix became
available for the Just Push Play concert. I was not able to aquire any tix at
all this time through AF1. This is mainly because I never received an email
about the tix going on sale. When I did find out about it through this list,
it was too late and all my venues were sold out. Also I feel the price of tix
this time around through AF1 is outrageous. Members did not receive a break
in cost at all.

Anything else you would like to add (a personal story, a comment, or
anything you would like said in the article):
AF1 made promises they were unable to keep. Changing to Fans Rule at the time they did was ridiculous. Because of this change many many fans are not able to see their favorite band. Not only that but I as I am sure many others had acquired many many points by buying merchandise and using the AF1 hotline so that we could get merchandise not offered to the general public. I dont see where the members are receiving credit towards this since there has not been a mention in
regard to the incentive program. AF1 charged premium prices on their merchandise. Several of the items were able to be bought at other places for much less than what AF1 was charging. But the members were devoted fans and purchased the merchandise through AF1 so that they could redeem
points.

Your Name: Cindy Ralson
City, State: Decatur, Al
Years with AF1: 6
Reason for being with the fan club: I was a member mainly for the tix.
Having a little seniority I felt I would receive good seats at reasonable
prices. AF1 generally had up to date info. I also felt that it was endorsed
by the band.
