ROMPOLA BUCK                                                    (216 5/8) Mitch Rompola tagged this buck back in 1998 near his home in Traverse city.  There has been a great deal of contriversy over this beauty of a buck.  Many people have said that this deer is a fake and that Rompola made the antlers himself.  The deal about it is that Rompola has a real world record buck but will not have it officially scored.  So to this day the Hanson Buck still remains the largest buck ever recorded, but in truth Mitch Rompola does have the largest buck ever shot.
