Welcome
This page is for parents and those who are interested in reading why:
  1. All my pages have a black background.
  2. Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is not bad.
  3. I like and play D&D.
  4. I built and keep up this site.
This is sort of an explination of my site. If you have any more questions.  Please E-mail them to me and I will post them here on this page for others to read.  Click HERE to E-mail me. Enjoy surfing and come again often.
Click here to advance to the D&D page.

All my pages have a black background.
There is a simple and deeper explination to this.
  Simple:
I find a black background easier to look at.
  Deeper:
It was once said to me that the mind is like a blackboard at school.  All the images and text that you image in your mind is set on a black background.  Much like the white or colored chalk that your teacher used or their blackboard. Adding to that black is the absense of all light. And also I would like my words to you to shine.  I also like the idea that I am displacing the darkness with light.

D&D is not bad.
Essay, "Ethics in Fantasy: Morality in D&D" by Tracy Hickman (co-author to the DragonLance Saga)
Unknown to some parents, there is good and bad fantasy. Two of the best Christian fantasy authors are C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolken.  Lewis writing the Chronicles of Narnia and Tolken writing the Lord of the Rings. There is a very good article, in The Lutheran Witness February 2002 Vol.121 No.2 about good and bad fantasy. It goes into why Harry Potter for example is bad and Lord of the Rings is good. When reading a book or watching a movie look for the destinction between good and evil. And that there is a fight against evil.  These are the requirements for good fantasy. Christian fantasy stories usually has a plot that represents Christ's life and death for the salvation of the world. To make things clear that world might not even be the Earth. Where the histories are different from what you and I know.

Attention: If you have this issue you might just want to read it later on your own time.  The following are sections quoted from the article.  There are many good things in this article.  I would like to take a moment to quote some of the sections.  "One can argue that the early Christians invented fantasy --or invented fiction--by what they did to pagan Greek and Roman mythology.  They taught that the myths were not true, but they retained them in their educational curriculum as pure fantasies.  For Christians to actually believe that Icarus actually flew so high on wax wings that they were melted by the chariot of the sun god would be idolarty.  However, once it becomes clear that there is no sun god and that this story never really happened, it can be appreciated as an illustration of what can become of human pride." "One charge against fantasy is that it is mere 'escapism.'   Tolkien pointed out that it is not always morally irresponsible to try to escape.  'Why should a man be scorned,' he wrote, 'if, finding himself in prison, he tries to get out and go home?  Or if, when he cannot do so, he thinks and talks about topics other than jailors and prison walls?'" "The best way to inoculate children from being confused by Harry Potter or seduced by fantasies that are far worse, in addition to giving then a solid grounding in the Word of God, is to exspose them to good literature, including good fantasy.  To use C.S. Lewis' terms, a child who knows about dragons and witches from "the right books" will know to stay away from them and will know that he or she doesn't want to become one." To top

I like and play D&D.
I would like to say now that not everyone likes to play D&D.  And that's ok with me.  Some people just don't like the mechanics of the game play.  I guess you have to be a little bit of a nerd.  Not that, that's a bad thing.  One of the reasons I like playing is that it is a cool way to get together with friends.  Second I not only play but I also run the game.  So it's a very good way to get to know people.  Oh, and it's fun.  If you haven't played D&D or don't very much about it, there is a certian quality about the game.  In the game you can do things that you haven't had oppertunities for in real life.  So while I'm running this game, I see people's dreams, fears, and goals.  I think that this a cool way to get to know people.  Sometimes I see right away that a person is having a bad day or that something is wrong in their life.  I see this and try to help them if they let me.  If they don't, I keep them in my prayers.

I built and keep up this site.
I guess it started out as just something to do. As time went on I figured it would be better if the site had some kind of purpose.  So now I display my art.  It is a place were my D&D players and friends can review the stats on their characters.  Hopefully time permitting I will be able to write an epic story to the calibur of Tolkien and Lewis.  This site will have sample chapers.  I am looking forward to having those up soon.  The setting for this story or saga is a world called MortalSphere. There will be information about the races, countries, continents, the planet, it's planetary system, and it's deities.
