Sections include: information about workshops, frequently asked questions about literacy, and links to various books and other publications. http://www.readingonline.org/articles/strickland/ Public Television Promotes Early Literacy This link presents an article about how Public television has developed ways of promoting literacy through programming. The featured program is the show Reading between the Lions. The analysis is very comprehensive and other links are provided throughout the site. While the focus is primarily for hearing children, much of the concept development applies to deaf child. Also, select episodes of Reading Between the Lions were part of a captioning program called "EZ Captioning" thus some of the programs can be made available to deaf readers who may not be able to follow typical captioning.
