Lou and Kid were sitting in the loft watching the sunrise. It had been
weeks since they rested peacefully and awakened in each others arms.
Lou leaned back in Kids arms. "You know we really are blessed. I
delight in watching the sunrise and the start of a new day with you." A
tear trickled down Lou's cheek. "When Paul Howard grabbed me, I feared
I would never do this again."

Kid wiped the tear and gave her a tender kiss. "I'm so sorry he grabbed
you like that. I knew we would do this again. No way was I about to
leave you with him. I couldn't bear to lose you again." He frowned.
"Later today Jimmy and I have one final thing to tell you about his
gang." He hugged Lou a little tighter. "Right now, I.'m banishing all
thoughts about him. He ain't ruining this beautiful day. This has been
a big part of my recent dreams indicated Kid. This every morning and
every night." He kissed her again.

"I can't believe in a month, I will wake up like this every day,"
indicated Louise.

Kid smiled and kissed her neck. "Well you will and so will I. Lou, have
you given any thought to what we discussed about celebrating our
birthdays?"

"Yeah I have Kid. It would be fun for the three of us to celebrate our
birthdays together. I did find out Jimmy likes the idea of a joint
celebration too. Now, I didn't ask him about sharing a room with us."

"You didn't asked Kid?"

"No responded Louise. I thought after we finished our chores and he
returns from his run, maybe the three of us could take a walk to the
lake. We could ask him then."

"You want me there, inquired Kid?"

"Geez, Kid of course I do. I feel a little funny asking in the first
place. He'll have a fit if he thinks I'm going behind your back or
setting him up for a fight. I want your promise there won't be a fight
over this later. If you're uncomfortable, were not doing this."

"Lou, it was my idea. I promise not to pick any fights and I will be
there at the lake." Kid stood up and extended a hand to Lou. "Let's get
a jump on these chores so we have some free time. Jimmy should be back
from his run around noon and maybe we can talk him into a picnic lunch."

Lou stood up and smiled. "I bet we can talk him into it if we do his
chores and leave him with a free afternoon." They could hear the horses
whining for their breakfast. "Come on lets feed and water the horses for
starters." They climbed out of the loft and began their chores. They
ate breakfast and encouraged everyone else to complete their chores. The
morning passed quickly.

Even Teaspoon chuckled when Lou fussed at Cody for taking too many
breaks. "Cody we'll be a month fixing this fence at this rate. Quit
loafing and get busy."

"What's your hurry little general?" inquired Cody. He looked at Kid and
smirked. "Oh. I get it you have plans for an afternoon of play."

Kid sneered, "Watch it Cody. That big mouths gonna get you in trouble
you can't get out off. "

Cody grinned "Yeah right Kid. My cooperation's gonna cost ya. What's in
it for me?"

"A lump on that thick head of yours if you don't cut it out, responded
Lou."

"Make that a lump and a fat lip if you keep it up inserted Kid."

Teaspoon added his opinion. "And an afternoon mucking stalls and bathing
horses with a sore head and mouth."

Noah and Buck cracked up laughing. Teaspoon scowled at them. "You can't
get us said Buck were up next."

"Keep it up, threatened Teaspoon, and I'll wait till you two get back
and you can bathe the horses and cut the grass in the pasture." Noah
straightened up and nudged Buck.

"Let's get ready for our run. Otherwise, the mood he's in, Teaspoon
just might do it, teased Noah." Noah strode off toward the bunkhouse.
Buck gave Teaspoon a final teasing smile and ran after Noah.

"You're pushing it Buck, yelled Teaspoon. Lou, Kid and Cody get done
and the afternoon's yours."

"Oh now you're talking said Cody as he picked up the pace. Now I can
have lunch with Alice and take a long nap."

"Poor Alice teased Lou."

"More like poor Jimmy if he tries to get a nap with Cody snoring in the
bunkhouse, quipped Teaspoon."

"Uh um" responded Kid.

Two hours later, Rachel walked onto the porch. "Kid and Lou, your
picnic lunch is ready. Please be careful with the basket."

"We will be" said Lou as Jimmy appeared in the distance. "Rider coming
she called. It's Jimmy"

Buck and Noah leaped on their horses and prepared to take the hand off.
Jimmy wheeled to a stop and tossed the mochila to Noah.

"Ride Safe" everyone called as Buck and Noah took off.

"Did you have a good ride?"

"Yeah, Teaspoon, I did. It's good to be home said Jimmy. "

Lou tossed Kid a look the others missed. "Jimmy. I'll put Sundance
away indicated Kid."

"Thanks said Jimmy." Jimmy quietly informed Teaspoon the Howard brothers
were gone. "They hanged at sunrise." Teaspoon nodded in understanding.

"Hi ya Jimmy said Cody as he sped past."

"Where's he off to, asked Jimmy?"

"Lunch with Alice Johnson indicated Teaspoon and I'm headed to the
office. You all have the afternoon off."

"Great. I'm gonna take a nap."

"So's Cody when he gets back, said Teaspoon over his shoulder."

"Damn muttered Jimmy. There goes my peace and quiet. He's guaranteed to
snore or do something else loud."

"Hey Jimmy I have an idea. Walk me to the barn requested Lou." Jimmy
walked along with her. "Kid and I are headed to the lake for a picnic.
Why don't you join us? Bring a bed roll and you can have a nap after
you eat."

"You sure? You cleared this with Kid" he asked?

Kid walked out of the barn and chuckled. "Come along Jimmy. Rachel
packed plenty of food for three and it's so warm maybe you can get a dip
in the lake."

"I guess. I just don't feel like getting back on a horse."

"We ain't riding. We're walking indicated Kid."

"Count me in replied Jimmy."


CHAPTER 1

The three walked toward the lake, while chatting. On the way Jimmy and
Kid each grabbed one of Lou's hands. They looked around and Jimmy
pointed out a fallen log. "Let's sit down a minute" The three sat on
the log. "Kid and I know what we're going to tell you will be tough,
but, you need to hear this." Kid pulled Louise into his arms and Jimmy
took both of her hands in his. Jimmy looked into Kid's eyes and his
heart shifted. Jimmy suddenly realized the depth of Kid's love for Lou.
Jimmy knew he had to break the news, because, Kid simply couldn't do it.
He wouldn't give Lou such painful information. Jimmy cringed. "Louise,
I'm just going to lay it out there. You experienced the Howard's wrath.
There ain't a way to dress this up and make it sound good."

Lou sighed. "Come on Jimmy, don't bother trying. I know it's bad if it
concerns that one. There was no good in any of em."

Kid held her a little tighter. Jimmy looked Louise straight in the eyes.
"Louise, you are the only woman to survive his abduction. His gang
violated and killed several women." A tear rolled down Jimmy's cheek.
"We found out he even killed two young girls. He snatched them on the
way home from school." Lou shook and tears coursed down her face.

Kid held her tight. "Sweetheart, I doubt it helps, but he didn't kill
you because you reminded him of his sister. She's the only other woman
who ever stood up to him."

"I know said Lou. He told me. Oh my God!" A sudden realization slammed
into Lou like a freight train. "He intended to kill me too and you
stopped it." Lou hung onto Kid and screamed. She went limp and Jimmy
also closed his arms around her.

Both men began to cry silently. One wept over a hurt to one of his
best friends. The other cried over another violation of the only woman
he would ever love. The three held each other and sobbed for a while.
Finally Kid said "let it out baby. Try to put it away. He can't take
anymore from you. We won't let him steal anything else from us."

Jimmy leaned back to look at Kid and Lou, his best friends. "Look, you
two have something most would kill for. Fight to keep it and don't even
think of the Howard's again. I brought Teaspoon the news this afternoon.
They're dead and gone to hell. They can only win now if you two let em.
Somehow I don't think you will."

Lou sniffed. "Jimmy they lost the minute you and Kid barreled into the
situation." She looked at each man. "You two saved my life. Thank you
so much. What on earth would I do without you two? Kid, you always try
to protect me and love me unconditionally. Jimmy, you try to take the
pain away." Kid hugged her a little tighter and Jimmy smiled.

"Lou I love you because I can't do anything else replied Kid. Besides
you've saved me more than once."

"I can say the same. You've saved me more than once too." replied Jimmy.
"You two are my best friends and I can't stand to see you hurt. Either
of ya repeats that and I'll never own up to it." Kid chuckled.

Louise hugged both men and finally smiled. "Lets go have lunch. We
have wept enough for one day." They got up and continued on toward the
lake. When they reached the lake, Lou spread out the blanket while Jimmy
and Kid washed up. They enjoyed a filling lunch of chicken, fruit and
biscuits. After they ate, Kid gave Lou a knowing look. Lou cleared her
throat. "Jimmy, um Kid and I wanted to talk to you?"

"About what, your wedding?"

"Well not exactly. Although I do have one request pertaining to that. I
want you to give me away."

"Jimmy smiled. I'd be honored. Now what did you want to discuss?"

"Kid smiled. Lou let me." She sighed in relief. "Jimmy, Lou said you
thought our having a joint weekend birthday celebration was a good idea.
So, I talked Teaspoon into sending all three of us to pick up a package
in Crestridge. We can stay in Patterson where were not well known."

"That sounds like fun concurred Jimmy. It's known for being lively and
I've heard the fair will be there."

"That does sound like fun indicated Kid." He blushed. "Jimmy, we also
had something else in mind." Kid turned even redder.

"Spit it out Kid. Obviously you two have discussed whatever it is quite
a bit. Is Lou gonna dress as a girl?"

"Yeah, but there's something else too. We, Lou and me, want you to
spend the night with us. We can get a two-room suite with an extra large
bed."

"You want me to share a room with you? Let me make sure I'm not
misunderstanding you. Are you asking me to share a dance with you two?"

Lou answered. "Yes. Don't feel pressured. If you need to sleep on it
or turn us down we ll understand."

"I don't need to think it over." Jimmy grinned. "I do have a coupla
conditions though." He favored Kid with a pointed look. "First of all
Kid if this is gonna lead to a fight or hard feelings, I can't do it. I
won't fight with you over this."

"That won't happen indicated Kid. This is actually my idea."

Jimmy just grinned. "Ah ha. Ok. Condition number two" indicated Jimmy.
"Lou and I will never ever dance without you there. You have to accept
our word on that and not act a jealous fool later."

Lou sighed. "You're reading my mind."

Kid gave Louise his most trusting smile. "Don't worry I know that won't
happen. I trust Louise with my heart and entire life. Actually I trust
you too, Jimmy. Your sense of honor would nag you too much." Kid smiled
"I have one condition too. We back out if anyone starts to feel
uncomfortable."

"Ok" responded Lou and Jimmy.

"Lou said I have one condition too. We don't ever discuss this in the
bunkhouse and the three of us never dance together here at home. It
would be way too dangerous. I could just see Cody walkin in on us. We'd
never hear the end of it."

Kid and Jimmy laughed at the very idea. "Agreed." the men chorused.

"Looks like we have a weekend to look forward to indicated Lou."

"I overheard Rachel say we're having a birthday dinner on Wednesday
night, indicated Kid. I figured we could leave Thursday. Teaspoon
agreed. Since there's only a few minor runs, he said the others can
handle them." Kid blushed. "I stopped and reserved an exclusive
secluded cabin at the Statler Hotel on my last run."

"Sounds perfect said Jimmy. I'll split the cost with you Kid. That'll be
our Birthday present to Lou."

"Now what will I get you two?"

"Oh, I'm sure you will think of something replied Kid with a leer.
You're very resourceful."

Lou shivered and blushed. "This is gonna be real interesting."

The men nodded in agreement. Lou reached to grab Kid's hand. "Kid lets
take a walk and let Jimmy have his nap." They left hand in hand and went
to a favorite cave a few feet away. Jimmy spread out the bed roll, lay
down and placed his hat over his eyes. He dropped off to sleep.

In the cave Kid and Lou rolled out a bedroll they kept there and sank to
the floor. Kid pulled Louise into his arms and whispered "looks like
we're in for quite the weekend."

"I hope I'm up to this teased Lou."

"Don't worry. We'll go easy on you. We'll try not to wear you out he
teased with a twinkle in his eye."

"See that you don't too much she, replied with a giggle." Lou leaned in
to brush her lips against Kid's. He pulled her tight and the kiss
deepened. They parted only long enough to remove their clothes. They
began to caress and explore one another. Lou leaned over his body to
kiss him and grasped his manhood in her hand. Kid leaned up to take
Lou's nipple in his mouth to suck upon it. Then he did the same with the
other, while caressing her bottom Kid continued to explore Lou's body
as she did his. He continued his investigation at a leisurely pace,
driving Lou to the edge several times. He teased her into a frenzy. She
eventually cried out "Kid, I need you inside me. NOW!" He knew that
was more of a command than a request and he complied.

He turned her so that she lay beneath him and entered her in a single
strong stroke. Lou cried out and scratched his back and shoulders as he
began to move in and out at his own pace. She could not contain herself.
As he increased his pace, she experienced a crashing climax. They
began to move at a frantic pace. He let out a low growl as she screamed
"Kid oh yes!" She cried out his name again and again. This only
encouraged him to move deeper and increase the intensity of his thrusts.
Lou screamed and he growled as they climaxed and reached the stars
together.

"Louise, I love you with all my heart." Kid pulled her closer and
smiled.

"Kid, I love you too." Lou sighed and fell asleep in his arms. Kid
watched her a few minutes and joined her in slumber.

Their cries had briefly awakened Jimmy. He reached for his colts and
started to run up the hill when he heard Lou's scream. He chuckled and
lay back down when he heard the cry "Kid oh yes!" Jimmy thought Kid
must be doing something right. Boy, I hope we get a few cries like that
out of her next weekend.' Jimmy drifted off to sleep dreaming about the
weekend ahead. He knew it was bound to be a memorable dance.

CHAPTER 2

On Wednesday the three celebrants were treated to a special meal and
birthday cake. Rachel prepared fried chicken, baked potatoes and peas
which all three favored. For a desert they enjoyed a chocolate cake with
chocolate icing. The entire family was home to share a festive meal and
each person received thoughtful gifts from their family. They spent the
evening chatting and listening to music. Rachel promised them a picnic
lunch for the following afternoon. With a pointed look she ordered Cody
not to eat the leftovers. Cody agreed not to if she would leave a
midnight snack out for him. Rachel promised she would and did. After a
while Teaspoon suggested everyone turn in and get a good nights sleep.

Jimmy, Kid and Lou packed and went to bed. But none of them could
sleep. Lou and Kid went to sit on the porch. Jimmy lay staring into the
darkness shifting restlessly. Finally Cody and Noah both complained.

"Jimmy, fussed Noah. I don't know what's worse. Your snoring or your
shifting in that bed. Sounds like a flag flapping."

"Flag nothing complained Cody. Sounds like an endless stack of papers
rattlin."

"Would you all please shut up ordered Buck?" He tossed a pillow at
Jimmy. "I got a run in the morning."

"Gee you bunch sure know how to make a guy feel welcome snarled Jimmy."
He got up and threw on his clothes.

"That's right go sleep on the porch, said Cody. He looked at Kid and
Lou's empty bunks. The barns taken I believe."

"Kid called out "a lot you know Cody. I'm on the porch."

"Oops said Cody."

"I hope a snake gets in your boot" added Lou from the other side of the
door.

"Uh oh said Cody. Now I'm scared. I riled up the love birds."

"Shut up Cody" yelled Kid and Lou.

"You can be such an idiot Cody. Grow up thundered Jimmy. "

"Shut up" shouted Noah and Buck in unison. Jimmy stomped outside,
slamming the door behind him. Finally the bunkhouse was quiet and its
occupants returned to sleep. Jimmy fell asleep in a rocking chair on the
porch. Lou and Kid finally left the porch and went to the loft in the
barn.

At first light Kid began preparing the horses and Lou woke Jimmy. "Hard
time sleeping asked Lou?"

"Yeah replied Jimmy. Harder than usual anyway. I guess I'm a little
nervous."

"There's nothing to be nervous or worried about teased Louise.".

Jimmy just smiled "I guess you're right. You know I think it's payback
time." Lou gave him a funny look and Kid halted on his return from the
shower with a quizzical look on his face. Jimmy opened the bunkhouse
door and went in to get clean clothes. He left the door open and shouted
"Up an at em or I'm cooking breakfast."

Utter havoc ensued in the bunkhouse. Buck jumped up and fell out of
bed twisted in bed sheets. Noah hit this head on the bunk above him.
Cody jumped out of bed, tripped over Buck and landed in a heap. "Damn"
the three hollered in unison. Jimmy laughed at the chaos and ran for
the shower. Lou and Kid doubled over in laughter. Lou had to hold on to
the door frame. Kid dropped to the steps before he fell in a heap.

At that moment, Teaspoon walked up "What kinda way is this to get up?"
Lou and Kid were laughing so hard they couldn't form an answer.

"It's all Jimmy's fault indicated Cody. He threatened to cook breakfast.
"

"Well I find it hard to believe it's his fault since he ain't in here.
Cut out the horseplay and get together or I may cook breakfast."
Teaspoon closed the door with a chuckle. He caught Jimmy's eye as he
passed the shower stall. "Son, you know they're going to retaliate."

"I know but they earned it. They picked on me last night."

Teaspoon just walked away shaking his head. In the bunkhouse the others
planned their retaliation.

"How about puttin salt in his oatmeal asked Cody?"

"Nah said Noah. Unlike you food isn't the first and last thing on his
mind. He may not even eat oatmeal. We could hide his hat." Noah shook
his head no. "That won't do. How about oatmeal in his boots?"

"Noah, that's just nasty inserted Buck. He never skips coffee. How
about salt and pepper in his coffee?"

They agreed. Lou and Kid just silently looked at each other.

"You guys' mess up our trip and we will kill you indicated Kid."

"Really agreed Lou. I don't need to be nursing Jimmy cause he's sick.
You think you've seen me mad, you ain't seen nothing yet."

"Don't worry we won't do too much damage indicated Cody." Cody, Noah
and Buck quickly dressed in anticipation of breakfast.

"Breakfast called Rachel."

Teaspoon had warned Rachel to expect chaos at the breakfast table. They
laid a plan of their own. Everyone sat down at the table. While Jimmy
was talking to Buck, Cody poured salt and pepper in his coffee. Jimmy
took a sip and turned pale. "Cody" he growled and turned to reach for
his throat. Cody grabbed a biscuit and drew back to throw it.

"Hold it shouted Teaspoon. No throwing food."

"Anyone who throws my food gets a week of kitchen duty while wearing my
frilliest apron indicated Rachel. I promise there will be company each
day." Cody sat down with a frown.

"I will get you whispered Jimmy"

"Not before I get you teased Cody."

"Hurry up Jimmy indicated an anxious Lou."

"Lou's right concurred Kid. We better get movin since we have a ride
ahead of us."

"Bye Hickok don't have too much fun without us teased Cody."

"Go to hell Cody. You're just jealous." responded Jimmy.

"Damn right I am Cody replied."

"Jimmy, Cody, your language" demanded Rachel. Keep it up and you get to
write an essay about swearing."

"I'm outta here. Have a safe ride everyone" stated Cody as he left the
house. "See you when you get back. Jimmy he called."

"Not if I see you first shouted Jimmy." Everyone burst out laughing.

Kid, Lou and Jimmy rode out immediately following breakfast. The three
were in good spirits. The weather was good and they looked forward to an
exciting weekend. They stopped at the Way Station in Crestridge to
explain they would pick up the package on Monday morning. The three left
Crestridge and headed to East Point. The riders had assisted the owner
of a small Inn there, Molly Dodd. She knew Lou's secret and wouldn't
reveal it. Lou wanted to stop to take a bath and dress as a lady. The
boys decided to bathe and rent a carriage for the weekend.

Just before they arrived, Jimmy informed Kid and Lou that he knew Molly
rather well.
"Just how well do you know her" inquired Lou?

"Aw hell" muttered Jimmy. "We've become very good friends." Lou and
Kid exchanged a look.

When they walked into the kitchen of the Inn, Molly greeted Lou and Kid
with a big hug. She threw her arms around Jimmy and they exchanged a
sizzling kiss.

"Well, said Lou, You two really are good friends."

"I'll say replied Molly. If that's what you call it these days."

"Molly" warned Jimmy as he squeezed her. "Behave" he whispered.

She whispered back. "I'm being good big boy. You're still dressed and
you know how fast my hands are. Fastest in the West." Jimmy turned beet
red. Molly winked at Kid and Lou. "Were way past friends especially in
my room."

"Molly cried Jimmy. Now I may have to rent a room somewhere else."

She grabbed Jimmy by his gun belt. "Oh no Sugar. You better not go do
that. This well just might run dry. I've seen you needy and it ain't a
pretty sight. As I recall, it's downright hazardous." Kid and Lou
howled with laughter. Kid collapsed into a chair with Lou in his lap.
Jimmy threw them a dirty look which made matters worse. They laughed
until they cried.

"Ok. Molly you win, teased Jimmy. Right now were just stopping over to
clean up. We'll be back to stay Sunday night. We have to pick up a
package in Crestridge Monday. " He hugged her close. "I know it'll be
busy around here till Sunday afternoon." He whispered, "That evenin
we'll find the bliss you seek."

"WE better" she whispered back. She kissed him again. "Now Jimmy,
you know boys and Lou are always welcome. Especially you." He just
blushed and Molly laughed. "Louise use my room to bathe and change.
You boys can use the bathhouse and lock the door. We don't want an Ella
incident."

"A What" asked Kid and Lou in unison?

"Would you two please stop encouraging her begged Jimmy?" He just shook
his head.

Molly grinned. "Ella is the maid he scared half to death. I don't know
which was worse, her scare or her thrill." Jimmy dropped his head in his
hands. "He forgot to lock the door and she walked in as he was stepping
out of the tub. She took one look and keeled over in a dead faint. He
revived her briefly. She took a better look at him drooled and collapsed
in his lap, tripping them backward into the tub. That's how I found
them." Molly shook with laughter. "Ella was sopping wet sitting in the
tub on Jimmy's chest. She was babbling and attempting to grab his
manhood. He was stuttering and trying to cover himself with a wash
cloth, in vain I might add." That story set Kid and Lou off again Lou
laughed so hard, she slid off Kid's lap onto the floor. Kid fell down
next to her when he attempted to help her up. They lay on the floor in
a tangled heap laughing hysterically.

Even Jimmy laughed. " Come on you two. It's not that funny. "

"Yes it is" cried Lou as she wiped tears from her eyes.

"Jimmy, you better pray Molly never tells Cody that story" indicated
Kid. He would probably publish it. I can see it now Wild Bill takes a
bath, western style."

"I just might tell him on his next trip through teased Molly. Seeing
that story in print would be worth it."

"Oh no, you don't. Do it and you may have to settle for Cody. This
hose might never work for you again" threatened Jimmy. Kid and Lou
rolled around the floor laughing.

"Stop it" begged Louise. "You two are killing us over here." She
collapsed on Kid's chest laughing. He was laughing too hard to talk.

"That's it either of you tell Cody about any of this and I will kill you
threatened Jimmy."

Kid and Lou finally stood up. They looked at each other and laughed.
"I couldn't begin to do this one justice" teased Lou. "I'll meet you
boys in the parlor in a bit I'm gonna get changed.." She was still
laughing as she headed to Molly's room.

"Don't worry I won't tell him laughed Kid. Your secret's safe." Kid
looked at Jimmy. "Come on handsome let's get cleaned up and rent the
carriage. Time's a waistin." They went in to bathe. Ella walked in
with towels and grinned at Jimmy. Jimmy nodded and smiled. Ella nearly
fell into a tub looking at him and Kid barely stifled his mirth. As
soon as she left, Jimmy locked the doors and checked them twice. By
that time, Kid was doubled over laughing. "Jimmy I think she was hoping
for an encore."

Jimmy splashed water and fussed. "Shut up, Kid. Can I help it if I'm
irresistible?"

Kid just shook his head. "Ok lets get through quick. We can soak in a
bath tomorrow.".

"Why would I want to soak in a tub, asked Jimmy? I ain't a woman like
Lou or Rachel."

"Exactly " responded Kid with a knowing leer. "Jimmy I thought you had
all the experience with women."

Jimmy looked puzzled "Huh?" Suddenly he grinned. "Oh that kinda
soaking. Now that I could go for."

"I should hope so" replied Kid. "That's what this weekend is about"
Jimmy grinned and started a water battle.

Jimmy and Kid quickly finished bathing and went to the livery to rent a
carriage. The hitched Lightening and Sundance to the carriage and tied
Katy to the back. They pulled up to the Inn as Louise stepped into the
parlor. Kid went in to get her while Jimmy waited in the carriage. Kid
smiled broadly at Louise. "You look gorgeous Louise."

"Thank you Kid."

He extended and arm and indicated "You are welcome. My Lady your
carriage awaits you."

Lou took his arm and replied "Thank you sir." Molly waved as she watched
them walk over to the carriage. All three smiled and waved back. Kid
assisted Lou into the back of the carriage and joined Jimmy in the front
seat. Jimmy snapped the rains and they were off to Patterson.


CHAPTER 3

Along the way to Patterson, they discussed the evening's activities.
Kid asked whether Lou and Jimmy wanted to dine out or eat in their
suite.

"Kid, I want to eat at a nice restaurant tonight, indicated Lou. With a
fair in town, it'll be crowded tomorrow night and you two have no
patience for that."

"We have no patience" asked Jimmy? "Who threatened to flatten a waitress
for spillin sarsparilla on em?"

"She spilled it in my lap and then grinned,"

"Ah, Lou honey, she was hoping you would let your trousers dry by her
fire while you were otherwise engaged."

"Oh honestly Kid. She wasn't trying to get me in bed."

"Yeah, she was. She thought you were a man, Kid replied. Besides she
admitted it to me."

"Jimmy chuckled. I hate to interrupt this discussion, but we're here."
A liveryman took the reins from Jimmy. Jimmy and Kid assisted Lou out of
the carriage. They entered the Hotel to sign in as Mr. and Mrs. McSwain
and James Hunter. Jimmy was introduced as Lou's brother. A porter
showed them to a secluded garden suite. He explained that they could
have meals delivered to the suite if they chose. He also explained the
other amenities of the hotel. The three quickly dropped their luggage
and decided to freshen up. A short time later, they entered the
diningroom for dinner. They ate a filling dinner and returned to the
suite.

Jimmy yawned. "I'm tired. I'm going in to sleep. How about we order
breakfast in the suite in the morning. Then we begin this adventure and
take the day as it comes."

"Sounds good indicated Kid."

"Night Jimmy," he and Lou called in unison. The three exhausted
travelers slept the night away. Lou and Kid awakened to watch the
sunrise. They made love and went back to sleep. Kid kissed Lou around
nine as he got out of bed. "I'll be back soon. Jimmy and I are gonna
check the animals. We'll also stop to order breakfast. See you in a
little while." Kid went to knock on Jimmy's door. "Come on we gotta
check the animals."

"I'm commin." Jimmy opened his door. "I wanted to sleep in."

"Oh Jimmy. Go back to bed after breakfast. Today is actually Lou's
birthday and I want to get her something. I'm getting her cologne and
her favorite bath oil. I already got her a private gift."

"Ain't you smart. I'll go with you," indicated Jimmy. " I know she
loves roses and chocolates. That won't be steppin on your toes, would
it?"

"Nope, responded Kid. I'm not getting either one of those."

Jimmy purchased roses and candy. He waited at the general store while
Kid entered a lady's specialty store. Kid blushed as he made his
purchases and the sales lady smiled. "She's a lucky lady to have you."

Kid smiled and blushed again. "I'm the lucky one. She means everything
to me. Thanks and good bye." He left the store smiling. Lou will love
these' he thought. Kid met Jimmy at the store. "Lets go have breakfast
and some fun."

"I can handle that agreed Jimmy"

In the hotel room Louise had washed up and put on a transparent blue
gown. She added her robe over it. She intended to tease the boys
through breakfast and talk them into an early morning romp. Breakfast
had arrived and Louise arranged it on a table in the suite. The waiter
indicated a tug on the bell cord in the room would bring someone to
remove the tray after breakfast. She walked into the front room after
she heard the boys come in and lock the door.

Kid grinned as she walked in. He grabbed her and kissed her
passionately. "Happy Birthday Louise." He placed his packages on the
table next to her.

Jimmy handed Lou the roses and a box of chocolates. Next Jimmy placed

Let's have breakfast. I want chocolate but I have to be a big girl and
eat first." Lou winked.. Kid and Jimmy looked at each other and
chuckled. They enjoyed a breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and
pancakes washed down with coffee. Lou pulled the cord and shortly hotel
staff removed the breakfast dishes. They locked the door and moved into
the sitting room. Lou opened her robe slightly to give the men a good
look. Lou opened her gifts from Kid and gave him a hearty thank you
kiss. She indulged in chocolates and shared with the two men. Lou
finally sighed. "I think I'm going to be a lady of leisure and rest.
Would you two join me in a few minutes?" Kid and Jimmy nodded. Lou
walked into the bedroom with her gifts from Kid and closed the door.

Kid and Jimmy went into the bathroom and washed in the basin. They put
robes on over their underwear and headed for the bedroom. They found
Lou resting on pillows with a book in the center of the bed. Both men
were temporarily awestruck. Lou was a little nervous until she looked in
their eyes and Kid let out an audible breath. "Louise, you are absolutely
gorgeous." He dropped his robe and crawled toward her on the bed.

Jimmy had moved to the other side of the bed and crawled toward her.
"Breathtaking. Absolutely breathtaking." He took off his robe and

Immediately after dinner, they had the dishes removed and began to
settle in for the evening. Both men removed their boots and jackets. In
the suite, there was a tub hooked to a nearby hot spring that filled
with water right there in the bathroom. Lou decided to fill the huge tub
with water and bubbles. Jimmy and Kid smiled at one another when they
heard the tub filling with water. Kid noticed Louise left the door
unlocked and slightly ajar. "Lou, called Kid, would you like a little
company?"

"Maybe, she responded. It depends on what you have in mind."

"Well, inquired Jimmy, is there room for two more?"

"There could be replied Lou? But wash up in the basin a little first.
That way we can stay in a clean tub longer."

Jimmy and Kid removed all their clothes in Jimmy's room and stepped into
the bathroom. Lou was slightly overwhelmed when she looked at the two
men. They both leered at her as they washed off per her request. She
licked her lips in anticipation of the joint bath. She shuddered as the
men stepped into the tub. Kid stepped in from the front and Jimmy
stepped in from the back. Kid leaned in to kiss and caress her and Jimmy

"Not quite heaven yet, but, we'll get there, teased Kid." He leaned

Louise double checked the trays and stepped into she and Kid's rooms to
remove two boxes. She quietly carried the boxes into the bedroom and
then carried in the three breakfast trays. Wake up gentlemen she called.
Breakfast is here."

"Oh boy indicated Kid breakfast in bed. I did have a different entree in
mind though."

"Really responded Jimmy with a leer. I'm hungry for a lot more than
breakfast."

"Alright you greedy men, teased Lou, we gotta keep our strength up. Food
first and if you're real good a little fun after."

"Aw come on you know were good replied Kid with a salacious smile."

"Yeah real good teased Jimmy as he and got up to wash"

Louise laughed as she heard them splashing in the bathroom.

"Race ya back to bed teased Kid." He and Jimmy rushed back to bed. Lou
was already in the middle of the bed with her tray. Kid and Jimmy picked
theirs up and crawled in on either side of the bed. Over breakfast Lou
talked the men into attending the theater that evening at five. "The
show is over at seven and dinner will be served here promptly at seven
thirty." As soon they finished Kid took the trays to the front room and
placed a do not disturb sign on the door.

As he re-entered the room Jimmy was leaning over Louise. "Now how about
that after breakfast treat. He lifted Lou's gown over her head as Kid
approached with a slightly warm jar of honey. "What are you two doing
inquired Lou?"

"Just wait and see replied Kid with a knowing glance at Jimmy." They
adjusted her arms so they were just above her head and each held her hand
lightly in place with his right hand.

"They are perfectly, gorgeous Jimmy noted as he blew on her right
nipple." Kid teased the left. They smiled and dipped two fingers into
the warm honey. Each placed it on her breast in a circular motion and

EPILOGUE

They enjoyed each other once again at dawn in Kid and Lou's bed. They
rose to have breakfast in the dining room and head toward Molly's in East
Point. They arrived at midday. Molly indicated their rooms were ready
and encouraged Jimmy to take a nap. That night Lou and Kid enjoyed a
very private candlelight dinner and exchanged personal gifts.
Meanwhile Molly pampered Jimmy with a very personal birthday present.

Three tired but exhilarated young people rode into Crestridge and out
with the package to be delivered. They made good time and were on the
hill above the express station in Rock Creek just in time for dinner.
They all acknowledged it had been a memorable weekend. As he looked at
home Jimmy turned to ask the question on everyone's mind. "I have no
regrets about this weekend. Be honest you two. Any regrets?"

"Nope, responded Kid. Not here."

"Not a one replied Lou. I'll race you boys home." Lou won of course.

In tough times each of them would remember that shared weekend and draw
comfort from it. They never recreated it. They would get together alone
again occasionally before Jimmy's untimely demise. I was always pleasant
but never quite the same as that joint birthday celebration..
