Josh Brolin Biographies - Seasons 2 and 3
Josh Brolin portrays the iron-willed and fearless James Butler (Wild Bill) Hickok (aka Jimmy) as a young man, on the verge of becoming the most feared gun alive and legendary folk hero, in MGM/UA s Emmy Award and Western Heritage Award-winning ABC series "The Young Riders." With his brooding good looks, Jimmy is headstrong and always a contender for leadership of the group.
Brolin was born in Los Angeles and raised in Paso Robles, California, surrounded by horses. Always having had a knack for
writing,it was after appearing in high school theatre productions that he began to be seriously interested in an acting
career. Realizing his goals, Brolin moved to Los Angeles to live with his father (actor Jim Brolin) and began to study with the likes of Stella Adler.
His various credits include television: "Private Eye" on which he was a series regular; "The Finish Line"; "Highway To Heaven"; the first episode of "21 Jump Street," and the television movie "Prison of Children" His film credits include his role as the oldest brother in "Goonies" and "Thrashin'."
Brolin's theatre credits include the lead roles in "Street Car Named Desire," "The Crucible," "Dark Side of the Moon," "A Mid Summer Night's Dream" and "Skin of our Teeth."
During his hiatus, Brolin participated in four productions at the Geva Theatre in Rochester, New York, where his fellow cast member Anthony Zerbe is an associate art director. Under Zerbe's production "Reflections 90' A New Plays Festival," Josh was in "Forgiving Typhoid Mary," directed by Zerbe, portraying Father Michael McKue, who leaves the church for a deeper commitment to social work and "Oh! The Innocents" in which he played Zev, a hustling young record producer in the ethos of pop-media culture. Additionally at Geva Theatre Josh read the role of Hector, a stealthy and taciturn young hispanic in "Babylon Gardens" and the role of Zach, an egocentric saxophone player in "Life in the Trees"
Brolin spends most of his free time at home with his wife Deborah and their son, Trevor Mansur Brolin. He writes and reads his poetry and likes to take long rides on his Harley Davidson.

JOSH BROLIN
Josh Brolin portrays the iron-willed and fearless James Butler (wild Bill) Hickok (aka Jimmy) who is fast becoming the most feared gunfighter in the West, in MGM Television's Emmy Award and Westen Heritage Award-winning series THE YOUNG RIDERS. A dangerous "bad boy" who dislikes authority, Hickok is a headstrong contender for leadership of the group. He is unpredictable, but loyal and likeable.
Brolin was born in Los Angeles and raised in Paso Robles, Calif., on a horse ranch. Always having had a knack for acting, it was after appearing in high school theater productions that he began to seriously consider it as a career. In order to realize his goals, Brolin moved to Los Angeles to live with his father (actor James Brolin) and began to study acting with the famed Stella Adler.
Brolin's television credits include leading roles in the series "Private Eye" and the television movie "Prison of Children", as well as guest-starring roles in "The Finish Line" "Highway to Heaven" and "21 Jump Street." His film

In this season's GeVa presentation "Reflections '91 A New Plays Festival," Brolin appeared in the new productions "Pitz & Joel' (portraying a young man who suffers brain damage after a motorcycle accident and then must be cared for by his older sister) and "Life in the Trees" (three inter-related plays, in which Brolin plays one of nine people who are emotionally barricaded in their Manhattan apartments) . Last year Brolin appeared the GeVa productions of "Forgiving Typhoid Mary," "Oh! The Innocents" and "Babylon Gardens."
Brolin's other theater credits include lead roles in regional productions of "Street Car Named Desire", "The Crucible," "Dark Side of the Moon," "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Skin of our Teeth." Brolin writes and reads poetry and likes to take long rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
