YVONNE SUHOR BIOGRAPHIES - Season 2 and 3
Yvonne suhor portrays the strong-willed Lou (Louise) McCloud, who masquerades as a boy so that she may ride with the Pony Express on MGM/UA's Emmy Award and Western Heritage Award-winning ABC series "The Young Riders." The gutsy Lou is an expert horseperson and can hold her own. Having promised to keep her "secret" safe, the other Pony Express riders treat her as their equal, except for The Kid, who is smitten with her.
"Lou is a survivor, full of spunk and will stand up to challenges that come her way. Once she puts her mind to something, nothing can stop her. Although she usually hides her femininity, she occasionally wears dresses and has fallen for The Kid," explains Suhor.
Born and raised in New Orleans, LA , Suhor had planned to become a teacher like her father, until a junior college speech teacher encouraged her to act. She continued to pursue acting while at the Illinois State University, where she joined the Theatre Education program. Suhor received her bachelor's degree in theatre from ISU with honors in acting/directing and completed a year of graduate school, before moving to Chicago to perform in the Steppenwolf Theatre's production of "Lydia Breeze," which toured Australia.
Suhor's additional theatre credits include Steppenwolf Theatre's "Grapes of Wrath" which received a Jeff nomination; "The Vampires" for which she received a Jeff nomination for Best Supporting Actress; "Moonlight Daring Us To Go Insane"; "Texarkana"; "Hair"; "A Christmas Memory"; "Peg O' My Heart" for which she was an Irene Ryan nominee and "Sweet Charity."
Scouted and signed into the ABC Talent Development Program, Suhor landed her first regular role on a TV series in "The Young Riders." She also appeared on one episode of "Sable."
During her hiatus, Suhor worked on the ABC television movie "Dillinger" starring Mark Harmon set to air this fall. She portrays Dillinger's sultry, sexy girlfriend.
A family girl with 10 brothers and sisters, she considers herself a cross word puzzle addict and enjoys, modern dance. Suhor's goal is to eventually direct her own theatre company.
