Bracelets and Bangles

Many of my wire work bracelets and bangles have Polymer Clay "stones" in them. It's an interesting challenge to see if I can take a natural substance and create a facimile using Polymer Clay. I have had some good results with turquoise, wood, jade, opal, amber(slightly too opaque) and ivory.

I only do a small batch of the mixed clay for each project. That means that each batch will be slightly different in appearance and color.

I have found that wearing a copper bracelet has helped me a great deal with arthritis pain. Some people get relief from the copper and others find that a magnetic bracelet works better. Most of my copper bangles are a simple chain or bangle and can be recreated upon request.

I give my copper jewelry a protective coating to preserve it's luster. This coating will wear off eventually, especially if the item is worn constantly, as my own bracelet is. The copper can easily be polished using a good copper polish and a soft cloth.

I like the look of red brass and most of my work now used this brass. It has a slightly "golder" look to it than the regular yellow brass.
