Cast no shadow

My life is my message. Indeed, it has been a roller coaster ride for me, with gradual rises and sudden drops. I have already gained achievements, which I am very proud of. But together with my triumphs are my almost two decades of challenges and trials. Being an athlete, so much is expected of me. I am required to practice everyday and lead my team to success every game. On top of that I still have to push myself to meet my academic commitments. Having through all of these, I have surely grown into a better and stronger person.

My achievements and failures have helped build my character. This in turn serves as a root to my relationship to other people. I believe that I am called to be a leader in my own way. Therefore, in any task or responsibility, excellence has always been my guiding principle. Hence, other people are motivated to do their as well. In this way, I am happy that some people admire and respect me. Through my thirteen years of my Jesuit education and two years in De La Salle, I was trained to be of service to the society. Much has been given to me therefore much should be returned. In every opportunity I make sure that I go the extra mile to give pride to my alma maters. I hope that after all the hard work that I have rendered to my school; the institution will appreciate all that I have given for what I have given is my best, and my best is to always put others before me.

I admit that my life has been blessed, and I intend to take advantage of these blessings for the betterment of God, family, friends, teammates, and myself. I will hold myself accountable for all the actions and resulting effects of anything I do. I take pride in doing what I want without ever compromising the welfare of the people that surround me. I am not afraid of failure nor will I be hindered by the shadow it casts. I have many people to thank for making me what I am today. In return, I want them to be able to thank me for becoming the person they aspire me to be.
