Lore: On this night it is tradition to leave a plate of food outside your home for the souls of the dead. A candle placed in the window helps to guide them lands of eternal peace.Also a time used to free oneself anger, baneful feelings and misplaced feelings As the veil between the worlds of life and death is thin on this night, we take this time to remember our beloved dead

** Many people try to communicate with the passed on this night.**
This is a personal opinion but with the belief of reincarnation why would you ask someone to come back when they in fact may have already been reincarnated to another body.
**I would prefer to use this night for Remembering the good times had with these friends or relatives.**


Cast your circle and invite your Goddess and God and Watchtowers..
Adorn you altar with fruits of your choice .Also have a parchment of paper and pen and your cauldron close to hand


After the circle has been cast sit quietly in your sacred space and think of friend and loved ones who have passed on . Remembering & enjoying, Know that they have gone on to greater things.
Remembering the physical is not the absolute end , the soul never dies !!!!
Standing before your altar raise your Athame,
here is a Ritual Blessing that might be used .


On this nite of SAMHAIN I mark your passing,
Eternal Mother who gives birth to the fallen,
Teach me to know that in this time of the ""greatest darkness there is also the greatest light"".


Light your cauldron and sit before it as it is placed in the middle of your circle
take the parchment an paper and now write all of your habits and baneful things and misplaced feelings on this.
When your done stand before the cauldron facing north to see the cauldron and altar together.
Light the paper with the cauldron flame.and drop it in .
something you might want to say ?


Wise one of the Waning mon,
I have created this fire in your cauldron,
To help transform me from which is plaguing me
May the energies be reversed,
From darkness to Light,
From Bane to good,
From death to Birth,
Looking into the cauldrons fire release yourself of the pain and suffering you may have suffered . Rejoice for this is the beginning of the NEW Year of the Wheel.
Now is the time for Cakes and ale. Time to relax and enjoy. After this done release the circle and Thank all for their watching over you during this ritual,
The contents from the cauldron should be buried outside along with the portion of Cakes and Ale you have saved from the feast,
