WINTER Solstice/YULE (about December 22) Yule is the time of greatest darkness and the longest night of the year. The Winter Solstice had been asssociated with the birth of a "Divine King" long before the rise of Christianity. Since the Sun is considered to represent the Male Divinity in many Pagan Traditions, this time is celebrated as the "return of the Sun God" where He is reborn

Remember, there are many roads that lead to the center. Each must choose her or his own. So be tolerent to others, Don't try to force your ways on them, nor let them force their ways on you.
Always remember the Wiccan Rede:
" AN IT HARM NONE.DO WHAT THOU WILT."

Winter Solstice/YULE
This Sabbat celebrates the rebirth & renewal, & the return of longer days as the Lord of the Sun is reborn from the womb of Goddess.

THE RITUAL
Set up the alter with your usual tools. Extra tools could include: yule log, evergreen boughs or a wreath. You can decorate the Alter with evergreen and and pine cones if you wish. The Alter cloth should be green. And your alter candles ... what else red & green ....( some people like to have their God candle from Samhain.)

Cast the Sacred Circle. Then invite ..(invoke) the God and the Goddess. Bring the God candle to the front of the Alter. Say "As this candle represents The Lord of the Sun, as did its blowing out represent His passing, as will its lighting represent His return.

Take an alter candle and light the God candle. Bringing the candle with you go to the Yule Log and light the first candle saying: "Blessed Be the Goddess in her maiden form, fresh & young. May all the world be born young again with her.
Light the Second candle saying: "Blessed Be the Goddess in her motherly form, lovely & heavy with child. May all that springs from her womb be strong and fruitful."
Light the third candle saying: "Blessed Be the Goddess in the form of the crone, powerful & wise. Guardian of magic & the Wheel of Life.

Now the Yule Log has been lit, return the candle to the alter & come to the front of the alter, facing east, speak your respects ..I like: "On this night the Lord of the Sun is reborn & and the Goddess & God are reunited. As the sun returns once more, we honor the Goddess & the newly born God, our Mother & Father.

Make sure you have remembered all of your regular ritual. Thank You's.
Usually now you relax, dress the Yule Tree, sing songs of joy, listen to music... whatever you wish.
After this and all such business is taken care of "Banish the Circle remembering to Thank and dismiss all that have attended to your call...Invoke. invitation..

I have read that Magic is not appropriate during this Sabbatt...I must agree on this one ..but thats my personal choice.
