Nickname: "Big T"
His Game:Thurl Bailey was a good scoring forward who could also block shots but not rebound as well, for his height. He was too tall and not a great outside shooter to be a small forward and not strong enough to be a power forward. In his heyday he created great matchup problems to his opponents though, especially at SF by driving to the basket against smaller players and blocking their shots on defense. After his first year in Europe and despite his age he changed his game, bulked up and became an inside force as a scorer and rebounder.
His Career:
Selected at the 7th spot of the 1983 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz.
Honors:A member of the 1984 All-Rookie team. Won the 1989 Citizenship Award.
