Richard Dumas was an explosive forward with great defensive skills.
His Career:
Selected by the Phoenix Suns at the 46th spot of the 1991 NBA Draft. Did not play in 1992 because he violated the NBA drug policies. Helped the Suns win 62 games in 1993 and make it to the NBA Finals (where Jordan and the Bulls beat them thanks to the famous John Paxson 3-pointer). Was banned the entire next season by the NBA for further drug violations. Returned in 1995 for his final two NBA seasons.
Honors:
A member of the 1993 NBA All-Rookie Second Team.
