His Career:
Grant was selected by the Seattle Supersonics in the 15th spot of the 1988 NBA draft. His rights were traded to the Los Angeles Clippers where he played during his rookie season, averaging 11.9 points, 7.1 assists and 2 steals in 71 games. The next season (1989-'90) started in a brilliant way: Grant was now a starter and his numbers increased to 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 10 assists and 2.5 steals in 44 games. That season ended early for Grant when he suffered a broken and dislocated left ankle. The next year he returned and averaged 8.7 points and 8.6 assists in 68 games. His numbers kept falling the following season too and from 1992 till 1995 he was a bench player for the Clippers. In 1994-'95 he got injured again, twice: on his knee and back. That was his last season with the Clippers.
In 1995-'96 he moved to the New York Knicks and played 47 games averaging 4.9 points in 12.7 minutes. The next year he played 28 games for the Miami Heat but joined the injured list with back spasms. Grant spent the next 4 years (from 1997-'98 till 2000-'01) with the Portland Trailblazers. In 1998-'99 he played 2 games and then got injured, in 1999-'00 he played only 3 games and in 2000-'01 he played another 4 games.

Grant was a very promising player who's career was plagued by injuries. He never managed to play more than 78 of the regular season's 82 games and he played a total of 59 games during his last 6 years in the NBA!

In Europe:
In Greece:
Grant signed with Aris from Thessaloniki for the 1998-'99 season. While healthy, he lead the team into winning some important games and offered the fans some impressive "one man show's". But then he got injured and returned to the NBA. In 18 games, Grant averaged 18.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.6 steals shooting 82% in the free throws, 46% in the field goals and 37% behind the arc.
Grant started the 2001-'02 season with Peristeri from Athens. In the first game of the regular season (he had 7 points (3/3 FGs) and 3 assists in 18 minutes) he got injured and the team replaced him.
