Strategier Night
Elves Quick Chimeras The
purpose of this is to gain an army of 15 Chimaera's as quickly as
possible without leaving yourself totally defenseless and sufficient
leveling to (one) Hero, playing 2 vs 2.
This strategy is best used in 2 vs 2 with a partner that isn't a moron
and doesn't mind going anti air. Chimaera's are all around great versus
any kind of ground forces. Aslong as your partner can give you rush
support at the beginning of the game, and anti air support at the climax
of the game, I believe this is a great strategy. You want your partner
as either Night Elf, Human, or Undead, using either Hippogryph's,
Gyrocopters, or Gargoyles.
Use the general Night Elf start (and be quick):
Of the 5 Wisps;
Wisp #1 - Build Ancient of War. (Press B and then R)
Wisp #2 - Build Moon Well. (Press B and then M)
Other Wisps - Group select them all and right click on one tree. (They
will all go to different trees accordingly).
Then, quickly select Tree of Life and train 2 more wisps by pressing
"w" twice. (You actually need 3, but can't afford 3 yet.)
When the first wisp is finished being trained, build another Moon Well.
The second Wisp goes to lumber, but before he is finished being trained,
build one more.
While the third Wisp is being trained, select the Priestess to be
trained afterwards.
By the time the third Wisp is finished being trained, your Ancient of
War should be complete, build a Hunter's Hall.
Your Hero will then be ready, position her near the Art of War, and
upgrade your Tree of Life to Tree of Ages.
Position your Hero near the Art of War, and train 2 Huntresses when the
Hunter's Hall is complete.
Just before your Tree of Ages is finished being upgraded, remove one
wisp from lumbering, and position it in a place to build an Altar. When
the Tree finishes, build the Altar.
At this point your Huntresses should be ready, kill the three creeps
near your base, move them around slightly to avoid any suffering too
much damage.
Build one more wisp, while the Altar is being built, this wisp will
replace the other one that was previously on lumber. (*note - build 1-2
more wisps at this point for lumber if you feel it is nessecary).
Build more huntresses accordingly, do not over populate your army, for
purposes of preserving money/wood and to keep your status as "no
upkeep". At the same time, build two wisps for Gold Mines. Aim
towards taking over two other gold mines (easy as Night Elf). While you
are waiting for things to complete/etc, level up your hero, as Night Elf,
you can cover a good portion of the map before your partner, or two
enemies can. Try to get to atleast level 5.
Eventually you will have to build one more Moon Well, but just one. If
you *have* to use more Moon Wells you will have a Low Upkeep, stick with
No Upkeep
Build a few more wisps when you have enough money to support building a
total of 5 Ancient of Wind's. (Building them will not affect your Upkeep
as you will use them to make buildings!)
When the Altar completes, you have two options. If you have a sufficient
amount of wood, upgrade your Tree of Ages to Tree of Eternity, and take
two wisps off of lumber to build two Ancient of Wind's. If you don't
have a sufficient amount of wood, train one wisp, and use it to build
and Ancient of Wind and upgrade your Tree to Eternity.
At this point your Hero should be at a good level with 4-5 Huntresses in
Aura. (Use Aura upgrade first
and you should have taken over the two gold mines. One of the gold mines
should be up and have the mine entangled before your Tree of Eternity is
fully upgraded. Train a few wisps at this tree, and when the other tree
completes train a few there aswell.
When the Tree of Eternity completes, build a Chimaera Roost at your
first (closest) expansion. Your first expansion should be beside your
partner's base, on the tactically faulted area for your enemy to attack,
that way he won't go there by accident, grouping to attack your partner,
yet it is still close enough to defend if needed.
Train two more wisps at each Tree of Life expansion (Your second one
should be complete by now) and build two at your Tree of Eternity. Use
all these wisps to build moon wells. This should give you the required 8
Moon Wells for 90 availible food units.
Train a few more Huntresses than required for further exploration (or
your actual fight). Because at this point of the game either a. Someone
will be attacking, or b. Someone will be almost ready to attack right
before your strat is complete.
Pray. If you get a few Huntresses out before any attacking has occured
you are almost set. Your Ancient's of Wind should be complete and you
just have a lot of money. Position your Huntresses and Hero at the front
of your base.
Build two Chimaera's at each Ancient of Wind (you shouldn't have enough
money/wood for three) giving you 10 Chimaera's in queue.
By the time the first 5 are complete, or almost for sure by the time 10
are complete, your opponents should be attacking. This won't be a
problem because as your Huntress's are holding them off, you will be
building an additional 5 Chimaera's.
Let your Hero die if you want, if the enemy can break your lines, you
will have 15 Chimaera's ready to own any kind of ground units he can
throw at you, and your partner will hopefully not suck, and own any anti
air your opponents have, with his anti air. Tilbage
