W (Si falta alguna escribenos)
Jesus, Jesus
help me
I'm alone in this world
And a fucked-up world it is too.
Tell me, tell me the story
The one about eternity
And the way it's all gonna be.
Wake up, wake up dead man
Wake up, wake up dead man.
Jesus, I'm waiting here, boss
I know you're looking out for us
But maybe your hands aren't free.
Your Father, He made the world in seven
He's in charge of heaven.
Will you put a word in for me?
Wake up, wake up dead man
Wake up, wake up dead man.
Listen to the words they'll tell you what to do
Listen over the rhythm that's confusing you
Listen to the reed in the saxophone
Listen over the hum of the radio
Listen over the sound of blades in rotation
Listen through the traffic and circulation
Listen as hope and peace try to rhyme
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.
Wake up, wake up dead man
Wake up, wake up dead man.
Jesus, were you just around the corner?
Did you think to try and warn her?
Were you working on something new?
If there's an order in all of this disorder
Is it like a tape recorder?
Can we rewind it just once more?
Wake up, wake up dead man
Wake up, wake up dead man.
Wake up, wake up dead man.
And love is not
the easy thing
The only baggage you can bring...
And love is not the easy thing....
The only baggage you can bring
Is all that you can't leave behind
And if the darkness is to keep us apart
And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off
And if your glass heart should crack
And for a second you turn back
Oh no, be strong
Walk on, walk on
What you got they can't steal it
No they can't even feel it
Walk on, walk on...
Stay safe tonight
You're packing a suitcase for a place none of us has been
A place that has to be believed to be seen
You could have flown away
A singing bird in an open cage
Who will only fly, only fly for freedom
Walk on, walk on
What you've got they can't deny it
Can't sell it, can't buy it
Walk on, walk on
Stay safe tonight
And I know it aches
And your heart it breaks
And you can only take so much
Walk on, walk on
Home… hard to know what it is if you've never had one
Home… I can't say where it is but I know I'm going home
That's where the hurt is
I know it aches
How your heart it breaks
And you can only take so much
Walk on, walk on
Leave it behind
You've got to leave it behind
All that you fashion
All that you make
All that you build
All that you break
All that you measure
All that you steal
All this you can leave behind
All that you reason
All that you sense
All that you speak
All you dress up
All that you scheme…
Holly came from
Miami FLA
Hitch-hiked her way across the USA.
Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her leg and then he was a she
She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side,
Said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.
Candy came from out on the island,
In the backroom she was everybody's darling,
But she never lost her head
Even when she was given head
She said, hey baby, take a walk on the wild side
She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
And the coloured girls go, doo doo doo, doo ...
Little Joe never once gave it away
Everybody had to pay and pay
A hustle here and a hustle there
New York city is the place where they said:
Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
I Said hey Joe, take a walk on the wild side
Sugar Plum Fairy came and hit the streets
Lookin' for soul food and a place to eat
Went to the Apollo
You should have seen him go go go
They said, hey Sugar, take a walk on the wild side
I said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side
Jackie is just speeding away
Thought she was James Dean for a day
Then I guess she had to crash
Valium would have helped that dash
She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
I said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side
And the coloured girls say doo doo doo, doo ...
She said it
wasn't cold
She left her coat at home that day.
She wore canvas shoes, white canvas shoes.
Around her neck she wore a silver necklace.
"It was given to me by my father." she said.
"That was given to me."
She took the back way home
Passed the lights at Summer Hill
Turned left onto the North Strand and on
On towards the sea.
He said he was an artist
But he really painted billboards
In large capital letters.
In large capital letters.
He was telling jokes
Nobody else would listen to him.
I saw you that day, your lips of cherry red
Your legs were crossed, your arms wide open
Your hair was coloured gold
And like a field of corn
You were blown by the wind
You were blown by the wind.
Walk, walk, walk
To the water.
Walk with me awhile.
Walk, walk, walk
To the water.
Walk with me
In the light.
A room in the Royal Hotel
With sea-facing views.
A man with a suitcase
Full of things he doesn't need.
I'm looking through your window
I'm walking through your doorway.
I'm on the outside let me in.
Let me love you
Let me love you
Let me.
Walk, walk, walk
To the water.
Walk with me, yeah.
Walk, walk, walk
To the roadside
Walk with me awhile.

You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today
Nona Gaye:
Oh my father, father
We don't need to escalate

Nona Gaye/Backstreet Boys:
For only love can conquer hate
Christina Aguilera:
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today
Britney Spears:
Barricades, can't block our way
J-Lo:
Don't punish me with brutality
Destiny's Child:
Talk to me
So you can see
Destiny's Child/Britney Spears:
(First Chorus)
Oh what's going on
What's going on
Yeah what's going on
Ahh what's going on
Ja Rule:
What's going on in a world filled with pain
Where's the love for which we pray
What's going on
When our children can't play
Homeless can't eat
There's got to be a better way
What's going on
When we politically blind
Can't see the signs of endangered times
What's going on
Nelly Furtado:
Ah tell me
What's going on in the world today
I'd rather be dead
Than turn my head away
We gotta first world vision to complete, to lift our
Hands in the air and cry for a switch
Michael Stipe:
Father, father
P Diddy:
Father help us, come on
Michael Stipe:
Everybody thinks we're wrong

Hey, what's going on
Somebody tell me what's going on
I'll tell you what's goin' on-uh
Nelly:
What's going on 'cross seas
Every minute a child dies by this disease
In record numbers indeed
Got momma's crying out please
My baby hold on
My child ain't done nothing wrong
Still I want to holler
Ask them why they don't bother
Oh no, oh no
Make me turn to my father
And ask him why they all got a trapped soul
Nas:
I can feel what was bothering Marvin
Why his words forever remain
Dealing with these modern day problems
'Cause of ignorance surrounding me and my constituents
Too many infected
Too many lives diminishing
Nobody say Protestants, Jews, Blacks, and Whites, Latinos and Asians
Pray together
Less fight
We better unite
As genocide chemical war
And the rich and the poor
Know that God delivers a cure
Eve:
It's a shame our reality is devastating
People praying for a cure
Dying while they're waiting
Ask the Lord for the comfort and strength to face it
All the kids with dreams
Won't get the chance to chase it
Makes me sad
Think about the lives they would've had
Think about the orphan babies got no moms and dads
How can we sit back and not try to make it right
We gotta come together
We gotta fight for life
Fred Durst:
Somebody tell me what's going on
(what's going on)
We got human beings using humans for a bomb
But everyone wanna live
Don't nobody really want to die
You feeling me right
I can't be watching people die
La, la, la-la-la
lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
Everybody:
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
What’s happened
to you
You used to be so shy
You used to hang your head down
You wouldn’t look in my eyes
Did you see some
great vision
Did you finally break through
Did you shake the foundations
What’s happened to you
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
What’s happened
to you
You used to look so tired
Now there’s a spring in your step
And your words are on fire
Did you hear
some great secret
Did the words ring of truth
Did you rise from the ashes
What’s happened to you
Where the four
winds meet
The world is so still
The waves are not pounding
And the hungry are filled
Our shadows have
crossed here
Where the sun touched the ground
The gathered are singing (ooh)
What a beautiful sound
They’re singing
La, la, la-la-la
lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
Everybody sing:
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
What’s happened
to you
You used to be so unkind
You used to curse at this poor world
So what changed your mind
What stirred
such compassion
Is a mystery to me
I don’t know what happened
Oh, but I like what I see
Where the four
winds meet
The world is so still
The waves are not pounding
And the hungry are filled
Our shadows have
crossed here
Where the sun touched the ground
The gathered are singing (ooh)
What a beautiful sound
They’re singing
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
(Go guitar)
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
Come on, got it
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
Oh sing it
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
La, la, la-la-la lie
La la la lie
When I get home
I’m gonna sit on my bed
When I get home
The feed back in my head
When I get home
I won’t answer the phone
But right now, right now, right now I’m here on the road.
When I get home
I’m gonna touch your hair
When I get home
I’m gonna touch you there
When I get home
I’ll be on top of you
But right now, right now, right now I’m here on my own.
When I get home
I knew it ain’t no sceen
When I get home
You knew I take of my skin
When I get home
I dance around in my doors
But right now, right now, right now I’m cruisin’ alone.
When I get home
I’m gonna see my girls
When I get home
I’m gonna buy them a toy
When I get home
There gonna jump with joy
But right now, right now, right now I’m flying alone.
When you look at
the world
What is it that you see?
People find all kinds of things
That bring them to their knees
I see an expression
So clear and so true
That it changes the atmosphere
When you walk into the room
So I try to be like you
Try to feel it like you do
But without you it's no use
I can't see what you see
When I look at the world
When the night is someone elses
And you're trying to get some sleep
When your thoughts are too expensive
To ever want to keep
When there's all kinds of chaos
And everyone is walking lame
You don't even blink now, do you
Or even look away
So I try to be like you
Try to feel it like you do
But without you it's no use
I can't see what you see
When I look at the world
I can't wait any longer
I can't wait till I'm stronger
Can't wait any longer
To see what you see
When I look at the world
I'm in the waiting room
Can't see for the smoke
I think of you and your holy book
While the rest of us choke
Tell me, tell me, what do you see?
Tell me, tell me, what's wrong with me
I was a sailor,
I was lost at sea
I was under the waves before love rescued me.
I was a fighter, I could turn on a thread
Now I stand accused of the things I've said.
When love comes to town I'm gonna jump that train
When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame.
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I did what I did before love came to town.
Used to make love under a red sunset
I was making promises I was soon to forget.
She was pale as the lace of her wedding gown
But I left her standing before love came to town.
I ran into a juke-joint when I heard a guitar scream
The notes were turning blue, I was dazed and in a dream.
As the music played I saw my life turn around
That was the day before love came to town.
When love comes to town I'm gonna jump that train
When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame.
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I did what I did before love came to town.
When love comes to town I'm gonna jump that train
When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame.
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I did what I did before love came to town.
I was there when they crucified my Lord
I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword.
I threw the dice when they pierced his side
But I've seen love conquer the great divide.
When love comes to town I'm gonna jump that train
When love comes to town I'm gonna catch that flame.
Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I did what I did before love came to town.
Dancin' where
the stars go blue
Dancin' where the evening fell
Dancin' in your wooden shoes
In a wedding gown
Dancin' out on seventh street
Dancin' through the underground
Dancin' little marionette
Are you happy now
Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
Laughing with your pretty mouth
Laughing with your broken eyes
Laughing with your lover's tongue
In a lullaby
Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you
When the
stars go blue
When the stars go blue
When the stars, when the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
Sense you baby
Blue
Sense you
Stars go blue
Sense you
When the stars go blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you follow you follow you
Where do you go
Where do you go, where you go, where you go
When will I see
you again?
When will we share precious moments?
Will I have to wait... forever?
Will I have to suffer... whole night through?
When will I see
you again?
When will I see you again?
Did you get it,
did you need it
Was it really what you wanted.
Was it good in the sun
Did you really have some fun?
Did you smash it, did you grab it
Did you jump it like a rabbit.
Did you walk, did you run
Did you slap it, did you come?
And I know that you do
Put your soul into the song.
Where did it all go wrong.
Where did it all go wrong.
Did you crack it, did you taunt it
Was it really what you wanted
Did you burn in the sun
or are you burning for someone?
Did you shoot it, did you stab it
Did you chase it like a rabbit
Did you walk, did you run
Did you come in at number one?
I know what you do
Put your soul in the song
But now it's sinking like you
Where did it all go wrong.
Did you drown it, did you clown it
Would you really have gone down on it
Did you clean it, clean it up
Did you rub it, did you soap.
Did you screen it, did you ream it
Did you ruin it, did you feed it
Is it warm in the sun
With your ear in her tongue.
Where The Streets Have No Name
I wanna run, I
want to hide
I wanna tear down the walls
That hold me inside.
I wanna reach out
And touch the flame
Where the streets have no name.
I wanna feel sunlight on my face.
I see the dust-cloud
Disappear without a trace.
I wanna take shelter
From the poison rain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name.
We're still building and burning down love
Burning down love.
And when I go there
I go there with you
(It's all I can do).
The city's a flood, and our love turns to rust.
We're beaten and blown by the wind
Trampled in dust.
I'll show you a place
High on a desert plain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name.
We're still building and burning down love
Burning down love.
And when I go there
I go there with you
(It's all I can do).
Whiskey In The Jar
As I was going over the Cork and Kerry mountains
I saw Captain Farrell and his money he was counting
I first produced my pistol and then produced my rapier
I said "Stand and deliver or the devil he may take ya"
I took all of his money and it was a pretty penny
I took all of his money and I brought it home to Molly
She swore that she'd love me, no, never would she leave me
But the devil take that woman for you know she tricked me easy
Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
Whack for my daddy-o
Whack for my daddy-o
There's whiskey in the jar-o
Being drunk and weary I went to Molly's chamber
Taking my money with me and I never knew the danger
For about six or maybe seven in walked Captain Farrell
I jumped up, fired off my pistols and I shot him with both barrels
Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
Whack for my daddy-o
Whack for my daddy-o
There's whiskey in the jar-o
Now some men like the fishing and some men like the fowling
And some men like to hear, to hear the cannon ball roaring
Me, I like sleeping specially in my Molly's chamber
But here I am in prison, here I am with a ball and chain yeah
Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
Whack for my daddy-o
Whack for my daddy-o
There's whiskey in the jar-o
Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
Musha ring dum a doo dum a da
I’m dreaming of
a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the tree tops glisten
And children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
You're
dangerous, 'cos you're honest.
You're dangerous, you don't know what you want.
Well you left my heart empty as a vacant lot
For any spirit to haunt.
You're an accident waiting to happen
You're a piece of glass left there on a beach.
Well you tell me things
I know you're not supposed to
Then you leave me just out of reach.
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna fall at the foot of thee?
Well you stole it 'cos I needed the cash
And you killed it 'cos I needed revenge.
Well you lied to me 'cos I asked you to.
Baby, can we still be friends?
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna fall at the foot of thee?
Ah, the deeper I spin
Ah, the hunter will sin for your ivory skin.
Took a drive in the dirty rain
To a place where the wind calls your name
Under the trees, the river laughing at you and me.
Hallelujah! Heaven's white rose
The doors you open I just can't close.
Don't turn around, don't turn around again.
Don't turn around your gypsy heart.
Don't turn around, don't turn around again.
Don't turn around, and don't look back.
Come on now love, don't you look back.
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?
Who's gonna taste your saltwater kisses?
Who's gonna take the place of me?
Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna tame the heart of thee?
you need coolin'
baby, I'm not foolin'
I'm gonna send you back to schoolin'
way down inside
honey, you need it
I'm gonna give you my love
I'm gonna give you my love
oh, wanna whole lotta love
a whole lotta love
you've been learnin'
baby, I been learnin'
all them good times
baby, baby, baby, baby
baby, baby, baby, baby
I, I, I've been yearnin'
way down inside
honey, you need it
I'm gonna give you my love
I'm gonna give you my love
oh, wanna whole lotta love
a whole lotta love
yes...
In the days
When we were swinging from the trees
I was a monkey
Stealing honey from a swarm of bees
I could taste
I could taste you even then
And I would chase you down the wind
You could go there if you please
Wild honey
And if you go there, go with me
Wild honey
Did I know you?
Did I know you even then?
Before the clocks kept time
Before the world was made
From the cruel sun
You were shelter
You were my shelter and my shade
If you go there with me
Wild honey
You can do just what you please
Wild honey
Yeah, just blowing in the breeze
Wild honey
Wild, wild, wild
I'm still standing, I'm still standing
Where you left me
Are you still growing wild
With everything tame around you?
I send you flowers
Cut flowers for your hall
I know your garden's full
But is there sweetness at all?
oh oh oh
If you go there with me
Wild honey
Won't you take me, take me please
Wild honey
Yeah, swinging through the trees
Wild honey
Wild, wild, wild
Childhood living
is easy to do
The things you wanted I bought them for you
Graceless lady you know who I am
You know I can't let you slide through my hands
Wild horses couldn't drag me away,
Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away
I watched you suffer a dull aching pain,
Now you've decided to show me the same
No sweeping exits or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind
Wild horses couldn't drag me away,
Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away
I know I've dreamed you a sin and a lie,
I have my freedom but I don't have much time
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried,
Let's do some living after we die
Wild horses couldn't drag me away,
Wild, wild horses, we'll ride them some day
Wild horses couldn't drag me away,
Wild, wild horses, we'll ride them some day
[Bono Talking = Normal, Singing = Bold, BBC Announcer = Italic]
I talked to you
about a song, Wild Irish Rose
Which I started in Los Angeles, which I've tried to finish, uh the last day
Which I'll play for you later on, but uh
That is an attempt to tell a story in a song
Normally we paint pictures I think more than tell stories
You know, just from image to image
In a field by a river my lover and I did lie
On my naked shoulder she too proud to cry
She said that I must leave her, an icy tear she froze
How could I melt the heart, of a Wild Irish Rose
Well, a gypsy
she has made of me, a servant of the streets
From bed to bed I've travelled to taste a love as sweet
Well the heart it knows no reasons, and reason never knows
As I lie with them I am thinking of a Wild Irish Rose
This is based on a, the time I spent in a hotel called the
Million Dollar Hotel in Los Angeles, which is downtown Los Angeles
It's is like a halfway house hotel for bums and people thrown out of hospitals
And I was being taken through this hotel, I was doing some filming down there
And I noticed that the cheap liquor all the bums drank was called Wild Irish
Rose
So I started with the line "The city of angels has a brought a devil out in me"
And developed it on form there
And uh the wild ir- the rose in ireland is you know is a romantic
An image of love certainly but is also an image of Ireland itself
That is an image I hope will be nice to subvert
[This verse has the above spoken loudly over it, so lyrics are a bit iffy]
We all fall, ran down, slow down [skip] -and all's love was stale
But with all that I found on C street, I thought I'd found my grave
All night and day she is, and I dance under the glows
And all that time of dancing from a Wild Irish Rose
Well I saw the
city of angels it brought a devil out of me
In Hell's hotel on Sunset, showed a whore no mercy
As the orange sky was screaming, from the roof I let her go
These are the dizzy heights that brought me my Wild Irish Rose
It is clear that Ireland's cultural past
Exerts a powerful influence on the development of contemporary Irish music
Bono acknowledges the stead
That past is to be found in the remote corners of old Ireland
And in the rock and roll Idioms of the new Ireland
The present carries with it, elements of the past
Its roots in the unaccompanied singing and music
Of the generation that has gone before
(Be a little stronger there)
Now, wild is the rose that she laid on my grave
A life was all she wanted and a life I surely gave
Like a hundred men before me they lay lying here in rows
Young men, bloody, as a Wild Irish Rose
I've been a wild
rover for many's the year
I've spent all me money on whiskey and beer
But now I'm returning with gold in great store
And I never will play the wild rover no more
And it's No, Nay, never,
No, nay never no more
Will I play the wild rover,
No never no more
I went in to an alehouse I used to frequent
And I told the landlady me money was spent
I asked her for credit, she answered me nay
Such a customer as you I can have any day
And it's No, Nay, never,
No, nay never no more
Will I play the wild rover,
No never no more
I took up from my pocket, ten sovereigns bright
And the landlady's eyes opened wide with delight
She says "I have whiskeys and wines of the best
And the words that you told me were only in jest"
And it's No, Nay, never,
No, nay never no more
Will I play the wild rover,
No never no more
I'll go home to my parents, confess what I've done
And I'll ask them to pardon their prodigal son
And, when they've caressed me as oft times before
I never will play the wild rover no more
And it's No, Nay, never,
No, nay never no more
Will I play the wild rover,
No never no more
Innocent and in
a sense I am
Guilty of a crime that's now in hand.
Such a nice day to throw your life away.
Such a nice day, to let it go.
Cold in his eyes, I can't believe it.
Cold in his heart and soul.
Heart and soul.
Cold man, such a cold heart
Such a cold man, I watch you tear yourself apart.
So lay me down, my soul to keep.
So lay me down, the longest sleep.
Oh, the longest sleep.
In I come and out you go you get
Here we are again, now place your bets
Is this the time, the time to win or lose?
Is this the time, the time to choose?
Cold in his eyes, I can't believe it
So deep inside a cold fire.
Cold in his heart and soul.
Don't do it, d-d-don't do it
Don't do it, d-d-don't do it
Anytime you're on the earth… is kissing time.
You can't take me, that's right but you can keep me going.
It's so white trash if you've got the cash.
A cartoon cut out, a cut-throat let out.
Look I'm on your side, we're both right.
Hey, I'm alright Jack, just don't piggyback.
I'm no dope, I'll give you hope.
Here's the rope.
Here's the rope…
Now swing on it.
Oh, where do we
go,
Where do we go from here?
Where to go?
To the side of a hill
Blood was spilt
We were still looking at each other.
But we're going back there?
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Shout, shout, with a shout
Shout it out, shout
Shout it out.
I want to go, to the foot of Mount Zion
To the foot of He who made me see
To the side of a hill blood was spilt
We were filled with a love
And we're going to be there again
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Jerusalem
Shout, shout, with a shout
Shout, with a shout.
See the stone
set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side.
I wait for you.
Sleight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails she makes me wait
And I wait… without you
With or without you
With or without you.
Through the storm, we reach the shore
You gave it all but I want more
And I'm waiting for you…
With or without you
With or without you.
I can't live with or without you.
And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give, and you give
And you give yourself away.
My hands are tied, my body bruised
She got me with nothing to win
And nothing else to lose.
And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give, and you give
And you give yourself away.
With or without you
With or without you
I can't live
With or without you.
With or without you
With or without you
I can't live
With or without you
With or without you.
We'll be
fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!
I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
Can't you see
I love you
Please don't break my heart in two
That's not hard to do
'Cause I don't have a wooden heart
And if you say goodbye
Then I know that I would cry
Maybe I would die
'Cause I don't have a wooden heart
There's no strings upon this love of mine
It was always you from the start
Treat me nice
Treat me good
Treat me like you really should
'Cause I'm not made of wood
And I don't have a wooden heart
Muss i denn, muss i denn
Zum Stadtele hinaus
Stadtele hinaus
Und du, mein schat, bleibst hier?
There's no strings upon this love of mine
It was always you from the start
Sei mir gut
Sei mir gut
Sei mir wie du wirklich sollst
Wie du wirklich sollst
'Cause I don't have a wooden heart
Hangman hang,
Hangman hang for me
Hangman hang, Hang from your tree
Hangman, Hangman
Hangman hang, Hangman hang for me
One horse town, one wind coming down
One horse town, the breeze will come and blow us down
One thin man, ? ? ? ? ? ?
One thin man, the breeze will come and blow us down
CHORUS : ( ?)
Love is all you need is, love is all
Love is all you need is, love is all
(solo, then repeat chorus, then solo)
Hangman hang, Hangman hang for me
Hangman hang, Hang from your tree
One horse town, breeze will blow us down
One horse town, ( ? ? - Bono screams lyrics too far off-mic to hear)
