David Kemper is positively giggling! "I am just soooooo excited about the fantastic new writers we have on staff this season! They just came from working with the Olsen twins, so we are very lucky to get them!"
When asked why the sudden change in writing staff, this new addition and the firing of Ricky Manning and Justin Monjo, Kemper replied, "Well, we thought that we should bring out some lighter stuff this season, and Ricky and Justin are great but they are just soooo depressing! In fact, even I am stepping away from the writing staff, I think that I can be a little too dark sometimes too! But I am working on it! Lots of FULL HOUSE reruns."
Kemper is now quite happy to spoil about the newly changed season 4 opening. "Well, we were going to have this big thing with Scorpy, who will become quite a good friend as the season goes on, but we thought tooo depressing! And D'argo was going to have this new mission or something, but now I think that we are going to focus on family values and getting along. Every week the episode is going to teach a new moral lesson. Because of that all the costumes are changed. The guys won't wear anymore leather and D'Argo is going to get some jeans. The girls had to be totally done over, more pink, less black, less leather, and less skin!"
As for how this change will affect the Crichton and Aeryn relationship...
"Well, there will be no more sex! Heavens! And of course everything will be resolved, it will be more like LEAVE IT TO BEAVER in space. You know, Aeryn I'm home? Also, Crais and Scorpy will join our heroes as allies. There aren't going to be anymore arcs or nasty things. As I said every week is going to teach a new lesson. Think of it as a nice happy family."
