Chocolate Body Paint or How to Loosen Aeryn up Without Really Trying. Disclaimer: All things Farscape belong to Henson and Co. John had been wandering the streets for a few arns now. Nothing much to see on this little podunk planet, but he was enjoying the freedom and the smells of the outdoors. If he had to spend one more microt being cooped up on Moya trying to avoid... well he just needed this. Badly. As he rounded the corner of the small building he almost tripped over a low rectangle storage box lying there. Neatly side stepping it he stopped abruptly. There it was. He'd heard rumors but had been sure it was just a bunch of dren. But there it was, right in front of him. His face lit up and he smiled a huge smile. The huge vat of brown liquid was just sitting there all by itself. It didn't look like much, but the smell... the smell was the most heavenly thing John had come across since he had suddenly been wrenched from home. He would know this stuff anywhere. Chocolate. It had to be. Nothing else smelled like that, right? He walked over and looked around, making sure no one was watching. Sticking a finger in, he hesitantly put a drop of the dark substance on his tongue. At one time it must have been piping hot, but now it was just warm and gooey. Perfect. He let out a war whoop and started dancing around not caring if anyone saw him or not. CHOCOLATE!!! YES!!! Aeryn heard his shriek from the street over and pulled her pistol. Frell, you'd think he could stay out of trouble on this of all planets. They'd only found it by accident and apparently it was mostly farmers with almost no technology. They weren't used to visitors either, judging by the looks she'd been getting. Trust Crichton to find trouble, even here. She heard him again and moved faster. The sound was a little more subdued this time. She rounded the corner at a dead run never seeing the box on the ground in front of her. Almost in slow motion she fell. Her reflexes saved her from heading into the vat head first but when she came up she still had streaks of the stuff on her from head to toe. She had saved her pulse pistol though and brought it up still looking for the enemy. Was John okay? It was then she saw him. He was standing a few metres away, still licking the brown goo off his fingers with great relish. And he was laughing. At her! Aeryn's eyes narrowed and she slowly walked over to him. She ran over in her head the many ways she knew that would kill a man. None of them quickly. "Aeryn! Do you know what this is?" John's voice was giddy. "I've dreamed about this. I never thought I'd see or taste or smell it again. You've got to try some." She stopped in front of him without saying anything. All of a sudden John saw the danger he was in and he bit his lip hard to try and keep from laughing. It was hard though. She had bits of drying chocolate on her face and shoulders and arm. Even her boots had some. He sigh, what a waste of good chocolate. A bit of chocolate dripped off her nose and suddenly he couldn't hold it in. His lips trembled and he let out an interesting snickering noise before he broke down laughing helplessly. Weeks of pent up stress were set free and if it killed him he couldn't have stopped. Some of Aeryn's anger gave way as she watched the human. His laughter was tinged with hysteria and she knew the cause. And really, she had to admit, it 'was' a little amusing. She found her lips twitching as his laughter became contagious. Sensing that maybe she wouldn't kill him after all John moved closer. His laughter started to die down and he looked at Aeryn. Eyes still smiling he said "Don't worry. Even covered in chocolate you're still beautiful." Why he said that he'd never know. Stupid! When would he learn to keep his mouth shut? Not soon enough obviously. He waited for the stinging comeback he was sure would follow. He be lucky if she didn't hit him. Still gazing at him Aeryn said softly "I thought you were in trouble." Okay. Now he felt bad. "Aeryn. I'm sorry." It felt like he could never do anything right anymore. He was always saying he was sorry and he was sick of it, but he couldn't stop. She shook her head to tell him he didn't need to apologize after all. "What is that?" She pointed to the liquid in the vat. "Chocolate. You remember? I must have told you about it. It's one of Gods gifts to humans. I never thought I'd taste it again. You want some?" He really wanted her to try it. It was something good from home and he wanted to share it with her. Aeryn looked uncertain, but seeing the pleading in his eyes she finally relented. "All right." He was mesmerized by the look in her eyes. He hadn't seen any emotion from her for monens. Now he saw uncertainty, caring, even a little laughter still lurking behind those remarkable eyes. Transfixed he just stared until she cleared her throat and brought him back to the present. Not bothering with finding a utensil John dipped his finger into the bowl and slowly brought it to Aeryn's mouth. He held his breath, waiting to see what she would do. Bite his finger off probably, but he'd take the chance. Aeryn's mouth opened slowly and her hand came up to guide his finger in. Her lips closed over his finger and her tongue slowly licked it clean. She kept it there for what felt like forever. John watched her eyes flutter shut before she slowly slid it out. John's face grew red as he tried to control the feelings that were surging through him. He slowly and with great care sat down on a nearby box. Aeryn was licking her lips with relish. "Hmmm... this is quite good." She actually smiled then, for the first time since coming back to Moya. Maybe his sister was right. Chocolate 'could' cure anything. He'd have to apologize to her when he got back. They still had some time before they had to join the others at he pod. In unspoken agreement they stayed where they were, eating chocolate and talking about the planet and what they might do next in the war on Scorpy. He had never felt so good. The feeling continued even after they boarded Moya. Aeryn wasn't as at ease as down on the planet but she seemed to have decided that it wouldn't hurt to be around him. He knew nothing was settled but hope reared it's head and wouldn't let go. Just maybe....and besides, he had a whole stash of chocolate in his room. She'd be back for some more of that. He grinned to himself. He spent the whole next sleep cycle dreaming of Aeryn...and Chocolate Body Paint. |
