<==PREVIOUS---NEXT==> EAGLE By Danny

Soaring and flying, not a care in the world
Talons reaching out, wings are unfurled
Majesty and honor bestowed with grace
Sharp peircing eyes dominate her face
Tearing and ripping with a beak made of steel
When she hunts down a fish, no pain will it feel
It eats on the shoreline, always ready to fly
With wings outstretched, one eye to the sky
No one to call master, a lord of her own
No one to nag at her about where she's flown
A vision of strength when she flys ever higher
Wings pumping, heaving, she's not going to tire
The symbol of a nation, a symbol of the free
She watches us closely from her giant oak tree
She hops to her nest where her young sleep tight
One day, she hopes, her babies will take flight
