Ghantoot
Racing & Polo Club kicked off the new season with a tremendous
opening, an appropriate trend-setter to the successful series of
events that followed. Over seven hundred guests converged to usher
in the new season which featured a polo match between La Pancha from
Milan, Italy and Ghantoot Damas team.
The day's events also included the inauguration of the new polo
fields and the official opening of the three shops in the
Clubhouse-Damas Jewelers, Polo Ralph Lauren and The Ghantoot Shop.
Prior to the start of the match, Mr.Nasser Al Dhaheri was officially
named as the new Polo Captain for the season, specially appointed by
H.H Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The task entrusted on him
included the vital role of the popularizing and spreading the game
of polo among the UAE youth.
