THESE ARE THE REASONS WHY UAQ IS SO SPECIAL:
UAQ the emirate of (Umm Al Qaiwain) which means the mother of two strengths because its people are well known in fighting the invaders . Two thousand years ago, the now somnolent emirate of Umm al Qaiwain was the site of one of the most important city states in the whole of the Gulf region, according to leading archaeologists now investigating the area. The emirate consists of a single, unbroken expanse of around 300 square miles of territory. UAQ coast is 24 km long and considered to be one of the best in the Arabian Gulf. It has Falaj Al Mualla, an attractive natural oasis, located 50 km south east of UAQ. Going to Falaj Al Mualla you can see one of the greenest deserts in the Middle East, some parts of it called al serah and Al bateha .This Emirate also owns Sinyah island, lying on short distance offshore has important areas of mangarof together with breedy colony of socotra cormorants.
In UAQ, el-dor, a historical settlment, (0-200AD)and tel albraq ,historical tomp and tower,(2500-2000 BC) were discovered. It is ruled by H.H sheik Rashid bin Ahmed Al Mulla and it has Dream Land the largest Aqua park in the world. In addition this Emirate is the home of National Mariculture Centre.
