Pro Bowl Bound?
Though Brian Griese was one of four Broncos who was voted into the Pro Bowl, he may have to miss playing in the game.  He's opting to have surgery on his 3rd-degree shoulder seperation and a torn labrum as soon as possible so he won't miss any of next year's action.

As of the moment I write this article, Broncos' owner Pat Bowlen apparently wants #14 around for a while and Brian will be starter for next year (once again, as of now).

"I'm going to have it fixed to make sure it never happens again," Brian said of his shoulder.  I was hoping Brian would be in the game and that he earned the honor.  But you know what?  I'd much rather see him get healthy so he can have a fantastic, full season next year. If he made the Pro Bowl this year after not even playing in every game, it's not a far-fetched idea to think he'll be voted in there again, especially after a full season.  I'd love to see him get really healthy this spring and continue to improve is game.  Even though he won't play in the game, the honor is still there and that can't be taken away.

He had a GREAT season this year and did, in fact, finish with an NFL-high passr rating of 102.9, ahead of more renown quarterbacks like Kurt Warner and Peyton Manning.  Just to imagine what he could accomplish when he's healthy for all 16 games.....well, that would be worth missing one Pro Bowl game.
