Based on the whoopin' instilled by the Tennessee Titans to the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Day, Denver's playoff choice/destiny was decided- this Sunday at 12:30p est/9:30a pst on CBS. They will be playing the Baltimore Ravens, whose defense set NFL records for fewest points allowed.
Balitmore head coach Brian Billick said Denver's offense is the best in the league, even better than the St Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings. So what to you get when you combine the #2 rated offense and the #1 rated defense in the same game? To tell you the truth, I don't know. I do know that in order to have a chance against this Ravens defense, the offense needs to have a great game- unlike the showing vs. Kansas City. But will the offense be altereted pending Coach Mike Shanahan's quarterback decision? Nah- I don't think so. Both quarterbacks have proven to put up good numbers and more important, the wins. The defense will need to step it up as they did against the 49ers, arguably their best game of the season defensively.
If both teams play to their potential, it's a given that this game will be exciting and entertaining. |
